looking for a mod to eliminate the "spoiler" effect

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 7:46 am

I thought there was a mod that delays the combat music in Oblivion so that it doesn't occur until the combat has actually begun. I dislike how the music acts as a spoiler telling me I'm about to be attacked. Anyone know where I can find this mod?

Thanks.

Look up "BetterMusicSystem" on the Nexus. Enjoy! :D

Another option is to just go into your Oblivion.ini and set:

bMusicEnabled=0
(just turning the volume off in-game doesn't have the same effect)

You won't hear the music change, but you also won't have music anywhere anymore, but it can be more immersive just to listen to the sounds of the environment, plus if your soundcard svcks, you might even get a performance boost.

Also, with the music disabled, you shouldn't even get that load pause (when the game is loading battle music) or it at least shouldn't be as niticable.

You could try it and see if you like it this way, I usually keep mine like this when I get tired of listening to the game music.

Thanks. I really enjoy most of the music though, so I don't want to remove it entirely.
