is there any mod that will give me the ability to have different saves to different characters i create ?

all i do right now is write the latest save number that belong to a certain character.

You can use the name of the character to organize these, or you can use a character manager. I am sure there are a few of these, so read up on them before you install. At the very least, make a back up your saves folder before using these tools just in case
