just going to give this a bump, still cant find the cave that the butcher armor is in =(

This may be the wrong place for this, but I have a question. I just downloaded your Armageddon mod. How do you get rid of those annoying yellow blocks with the big exclaimation point on them?

Any help would be great.

this is the right place, as BadCompany said you probably installed the meshes in the wrong folders (just extract the content of my zipped file in your Oblivion/Data folder and click yes to all).
Another possible reason why you are seeing those yellow boxes could be related to the fact that you didn't install the latest Oblivion patch (patch 1.2.0416). make sure you have it.

Im just posting here to say i downloaded ur mod Armageddon have got to the quest where i have to find the portal to The Otherworld, i have looked in the back of the chapel and it is not there, please help as i want to complete ur mod. Thanks

I recently finished another playthrough of Oblivion and I wore nothing other than your armor the entire playthrough yet again Lancilotto. I sure as hell hope you're around for the next elder scrolls game man :)

Green blobs?? This is new to me, could you post a screenshot? Maybe you are simply missing meshes, but I am not sure.
Make sure you follow the instructions for installation that are in my readme.

I downloaded the Battle for Morrowind, it seems to work however when I got the 5 helmets there is no option to give them to the general. What do I do?

hummm... this might be due to one of the following reasons:

1) maybe you didn't get the right helmets.

2) maybe you are using a mod that renames the imperial guard helmets IDs (like for example FCOM).

3) maybe there is a conflict with another mod which causes a script to fail running.

4) maybe you are simply unluky and a script didn't run because of a bug in the game.


Solutions:

1) make sure that you have the right imperial helmets (the ones without a crest).

2) make sure that you don't have any mod that renames the imperial guard helmets (if you have such a mod you should disable it temporarily from data files before launching the game, but
make a backup copy of your saved games before doing so. This because some mods require you to go through a series of quests in order to earn special items, if you disable such a mod
you will have to go through those quests once again after you re-enable it, this of course in case you don't have a backup).

3) This is the worst scenario and frankly I have no idea how to help here, there are thousands of mods out there and only the heavens know how they interact.

4) If you are simply unluky and the script didn't run because of a bug, then you simply have to load a saved game to go at a point in time before you collect the fifth helmet.
A game bug affecting a script usually happens randomly and there should be a very little chance for it to happen a second time for the same script.

Lancellotto, Just posting here because of a problem I have with 'Armageddon' mod. It may be irrelivant to this thread but I dont know how to contack you any other way. Im new to m.o.d.ing, as I usually play games from other consoles like the playstation. I saw your mod and thought it was great, adding the files to DATA FILES. I found where to go but when I arrived everything that had been customized/created that wasn't already on Oblivion wasn't there, or like the statue it was bright pink and the armour is invisible aswell as the flags being black. Do you know what im doing wrong??? I would be very greatful. :)

It sounds like you didn't put the folders in the right spots. I haven't downloaded this mod, but if its like 99% of existing mods, there should two folders marked textures and meshes inside the downloaded file. The contents of those folders should be copied and pasted into the corresponding folders in your oblivion\data directory.

You might want to check out this http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=449239 for further advice. http://wryebash.netai.net/ is a great tool for installing and ordering any mods. Its actually pretty easy to use. Have fyun modding your game!

Hi, first of all thanks for downloading my mod, and yes it looks like you installed the folders in the wrong directories because you are experiencing missing meshes and textures.
Make sure that you follow the instructions for the installation very carefully:

Install
=======
First of all be certain to have the latest patch to the game installed (patch 1.2.0416), then do as follows:

1. Extract ALL the contents of this archive (i.e. meshes, Textures, Sound, Armageddon.esp, Armageddon v1.7 Readme.txt) into your Oblivion "Data" folder, then click "yes to all" if requested.
(when extracting with 7.zip be sure NOT to select the options "rename" or "do not overwrite")(note: as you can see below all my subfolders have unique names, so there is absolutely no risk to overwrite any of your files).

2. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, and enable "Armageddon.esp"


Your folders should eventually look like this:

Moreover in case you have one of the localized version you should also read what follows:

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NON-ENGLISH LOCALIZED VERSIONS:
If you have one of the non-English localized versions of Oblivion (i.e. Italian, French, German or Spanish)
you will have to change the names of the folders placed in the directory \Data\Sound\Voice\Armageddon.esp\
If you don't do so the dialog text will slide too fast to be read.
To avoid dialogues sliding too fast you have to translate the folders in your directory \Data\Sound\Voice\Armageddon.esp\
into your local language (see below).
The folders are originally named: Argonian, Breton, High Elf, Imperial, Nord and Redguard,
in order to be compatible with the more widely distributed English versions.
So, for example, if you have the localized Italian version of Oblivion you have just to rename these folders
as follows: Argoniano, Breton, Elfo supremo, Guardiarossa, Imperiale (Nord stays the same).
I do not know the race names used in other localized versions, so in case you have one of those you should
find out by yourself. It's pretty easy if you have installed Oblivion Mod Manager, you have just to browse the
two Oblivion?Voices BSA archives in order to find out (the names you need are listed like this: sound\voice\oblivion.esm\RACENAMEYOUNEED\etc...).
Alternatively, if you don't have OMM but you have the Construction Set installed you can open an esp (whichever you chose will do, just do not save)
expand the NPCs (under actors) and look for the first adventurer "AdventurerOrcBattlemage01", double click on him, his window will open,
and then select "dialogues" (lower left in the window). A new window will open, there go to the box named "Response text",
double click on that line of dialogue and one last window will open showing all the possible names for your races, it should not be difficult
to figure out which ones correspond to the races I used above.

Excellent mod, I'm pretty sure your tired of hearing this but I have a problem, on the second mission when I talk to the priest he talks for a bit and gives me the key, but my journal doesn't update, and I go to the trapdoor and it the wrong key, so I have to use console to open it, and I killed all the rats, even all the minions and stuff in the other world and there's no journal update, so I can't finish the quest, would you think it's a problem with another mod I have? Again fantastic mod, and no disrespect, keep up the good work :D


Hi, here is what you should do:

to open that trapdor you need the key that is on Zion's body. If you opened the trapdoor via a console command chances are that you broke the scripts that are meant to lead you through the quest. I would load a saved game that brings you back to a point before you used the console command and go get the right key. I hope this helps :)

Well, what can I say... it's been quite a while since the last time I posted something in this forum.
However, I am more than happy to announce, that after *cough* about two years from the first release of my most successful mod, Armageddon,
I have finally managed to find a group of brave and talented voice actors who stuck to the mission, so to speak, until the very end.
So, now, thanks to those people a patch to upgrade Armageddon to version 1.8 has been released! ^_^

Thank you very much to all the people who appreciated my modding, and special thanks to my voice actors (in alphabetical order): Greenwarden, Mauri, Shaun, Slider, and Vereta.

I am sorry that an upgrade to my mod had to take so long, but finding good voice actors that fitted the roles of my NPCs proved to be a fairly hard task.

In short, I hope that all the people who love this amazing game that is Oblivion will find my mod to be a pleasant distraction while waiting for the release of TES V: Skyrim :)

Hi all,

I apologize to those who downloaded the patch yesterday. Today I realized that some lip files were corrupted and some lines of dialogue were missing. I have just uploaded a new file, now everything should work fine :P
