[RELz] looking for new heavy armor?

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 6:30 pm

Hi again. I just thought I'd drop by and mention that after de-activating um, *cough* about 25 mods lol, I re-entered Tamriel and WHAM! I got hit by the same thing. BUT! This time, after waiting 12 hours, (just a random number I picked) I got up off the ground! Yay! Okay, SAVE RETHSKA! And exit. Re-entered, and YES! No problem. No fatigue damage, and I am on my happy way. :-D

I'll comment a little more positively on the planet elder scrolls page once I've completed the mod. So yeah, no enduring problem this time. Phew!

R

I suspected that... your troubles are probably due to too many mods installed.

Received your email. A lot of things in the email were blocked (by vista) but yeah, you can give it a try (Maybe post it here for me only though lol). I couldn't reply.

I'd like to enchant this armour and use it, but as per the message above, I'm on the verge of deactivating it because of the loss of Beasts of Burden.

Rethska

I will upload an updated version of my file very soon, give that one a try cause I modified that shaman spell and hopefully this time will give you no problems (it's the new esp file I was talking about in my e-mail). As regards the shield in first person that's another quite strange thing you are experiencing!
Did you install the latest patch to the game?

Cheers,

Lancillotto

Rethska, if you did not download Arkay'Champion v.1.1 yet please wait until I upload v.1.2, I think that the latter will really solve all of your problems (from missing spells to invisible shield). Probably with v.1.2 you can even get back all your mods running.

Cheers,

I am happy to know that everything is fixed now, and thanks for the compliments!
For all those people that, like you, enjoyed my last set of armor I have another piece of news, an armored horse that matches that armor is coming next. Stay tuned on this thread (or directly on planetelderscrolls.com) for its release!

Ok, I am happy to announce that also my latest creation has been just uploaded! :)
The name of the mod is "Arkay's Steed" and you can find a link to it in my first post.
I created the latter mod after realizing that something was missing to my new armor, its textures were too "different" from all other existing armors to match with any of the existing armored horses (even considering the mod "Horse-armor revamped").

I did not include the horse directly in my "Arkay's Champion" mod just because the installation procedure and required files are different (you need also DLC: Horse-Armor in order to install "Arkay's Steed"). Moreover, I did not want to prevent people without the official horse-armor plug-in to play at least with "Arkay's Champion".

I hope you'll enjoy this addition,

Cheers,

Lancillotto

Sounds great. I love that you'll have to find them instead of just buying them in a shop. Far too many armour mods take this lazy approach.

Hello everybody, I am back and hopefully the winter season will bring me inspiration for some new mods... :)
I already started working on my next one, it will deal with Templar Knights and a quest revolving around a monastery... not sure about the details yet. I will provide some screenshots of my Templar Knight (which is almost complete by now) very soon, so that you can give some feedback if you wish.

Cheers,

It was just easier to tell people how to install my mods if there is just a data folder (some could copy the whole folder, let's say "The Butcher" into the Oblivion data folder, resulting in a total mess, no meshes would appear ingame!).
You don't need to name the folder "The Butcher". You just rename the archive after creation.

The first folder you see when you open the archive should still be "Data".

true indeed, but once you unzip the archives you still get many folders all named data (in the case you download all my mods at the same time like Kolyana did), so I decided to follow her suggestion and I added a folder named after the mod to include the data folder and the readme file.

The new templar armor looks awesome! Even better than your other armors, except maybe the Butcher armor, which actually reminds me of my favourite armor in Morrowind, the durzog armor.

thanks, I am pleased to know that you like my last creation. Actually I soon realized that some people like fantasy-style armors, while others prefer more classic medieval-style ones, so I decided to work on both categories. I even find myself preferring at times one or the other depending on my mood.
My goal is to make happy as many people as possible. ;)
The Templar armor however will take some time before it's released, I just started working on the quest that will lead you to get your hands on it. I will provide regular updates on this forum thread, however, so all people interested in it have just to have a look here every now and then.

Hi all, it's been a busy time so far, also because I am helping Eventine doing his wonderful mod "Guardians of the Nine" (I am making most of the helmets), so I did not have much time left to work on my Templar mod. However here is an update on my progress:

1) the story is almost complete, I have just to fine tuning it a little bit.
2) text for all dialogues is ready, I have just to put it in game (however, no spoken dialogue I am afraid).
3) I have to figure out some scripts.
4) I am going to add Teutonic Knights as well to my mod.

As regards the last point I realized that perhaps Teutonic Knights should deserve a place in my mod too, for those who want to have a look at my Teutonic Knight helmet here you have some screenies:

Hi everybody, modding is a very time-consuming hobby... but in the end I am almost done with my latest mod. :)
I had to modify a little bit the storyline, in order to make it a little bit... more compelling.
I added a brand new evil boss, and of course he is wearing a brand new evil-looking armor! I will post screens soon.
I also added some new creatures. For the ones who got a little bit familiar with my past mods I can tell that the new creatures will look like an evolved, nastier version of the Arkania.
The plot will mainly deal with templar knights, some mysterious murders, and why not... the end of the world! :)
Now I have just finished creating all of my mod related meshes and textures, I placed them in the world (many new places to explore by the way, from caves to ayleid ruins) and what now remains to be done is adding the dialogues to every character and write all the sripts where they are needed.

In summary, for the ones who may be interested in this mod release date is approaching.

Cheers,

Lancillotto.

thanks all for enjoying my mods, and I am happy to see that there is someone interested also on my latest work :) it's really taking a lot of time and effort.

Cornelius Gauro's House is just North of Cheydinhal, to find it just exit Cheydinhal east gate and walk north along the path. there is also a mapmarker for it, you really can't miss it.

When i equip the Doomed King boots on my companion they look like daedric boots.

I have just updated a new verson of The Doomed king to solve that problem (I guess your companion is a female NPC, right?). Thanks for pointing that problem out.

Very nice, Oblivion certainly needs more heavy armor mods. I was debating whether I should make my next character use heavy or light armor, perhaps these will give me the answer to that question. I also like the Araks, creepy, in a very good way.

I just have to wonder though, do these armors have female models? I cannot see from the screenshots, as they only display them on male characters. I was thinking of making my next character female so I must know, as I like to be able to see what six my character is even when fully armored.
