[RELz] looking for new heavy armor?

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 7:14 pm

Very nice, Oblivion certainly needs more heavy armor mods. I was debating whether I should make my next character use heavy or light armor, perhaps these will give me the answer to that question. I also like the Araks, creepy, in a very good way.

I just have to wonder though, do these armors have female models? I cannot see from the screenshots, as they only display them on male characters. I was thinking of making my next character female so I must know, as I like to be able to see what six my character is even when fully armored.

all my armors so far have only male versions, but even Bethesda didn't make female versions for all armors... e.g. the steel cuirass shows the same model both for males and females, and the same happens for the imperial legion, just to cite a few. However, in my next mod I will have both male and female versions for all my Templar and Teutonic armors, I can assure you that :) Oh, by the way, now I am in the testing phase...

Sure, did you check the screenies above? I am going to add new helmets, shields, swords... as for cuirasses they will not be completely brand new meshes, but there will be enough changes in the vanilla meshes and textures so to make them look pretty new. Now I am in the testing phase, and it takes quite long to proceed in the quest when you have to stop continuously to fine tune things like NPC behavior, lights, quest stages, dialogues, scripts, texts and so on... but as soon as I will get to the point of meeting my Bad Boss I will send some screenies of him. Oh, and as I said som posts above I will also add a new race of undead creatures! :)

This post is for Ethan: I tried to post a message twice to your e-mail address but I always got an error message back from your mailbox, so I decided to post my reply here. So you said that you had problems with the first two levels of the catacombs in "The Doomed King", what kind of problems more specifically?
As for your PC crashing while entering the crypt... this is quite strange, it's the first time I get a report like that. Did you install the latest patch to the game? Another source of troubles could be a conflict with another mod. Do you have many mods installed? Please let me know.

Cheers,

Lancillotto

Ok folks, here is a new update with some screenshots :)

You will start my quest at the http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b36/Lancillotto/1-2.jpg, located just north-east of Leyawiin.

There you will have to speak to http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b36/Lancillotto/2-2.jpg, who is the Templar Master. He will give you the opportunity to join the Templar Order and rise in rank...

After a series of minor and major tasks you will end up facing my new http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b36/Lancillotto/3-2.jpg, who are the minions of the evil boss that you will have to meet at the end of my quest. He is one of the most powerful Daedra Lords of the Otherworld (a dimension you will learn about reading some books...). His name is http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b36/Lancillotto/4-2.jpg and wears a brand new set of armor.

after killing him, and I can assure you it won't be easy, you will have the opportunity to take http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b36/Lancillotto/5-2.jpg

Here I post a couple more screens of the armor, just to give a better idea of what it looks like:

hello there, I am almost done with my last mod... now I just need a couple of volunteers for beta testing before final release, possibly people with a little bit of experience with modding and scripts, so that they can help me to better identify and fix whatever problems may be present.

Cheers,

Thanks a lot for your offer, I will soon upload a beta version of my mod on planetelderscrolls, in order to have as much feedback as possible. As soon as the beta is released I will post the link on this thread for everybody who is interested to give it a try.

Cheers,

And http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=213487&id=4358 you can download the beta of my latest mod, it's a quest that will deal with Templars, Teutonic Knights and... the end of the world! In it you will find five new armor sets, two new shields, three new swords and a lot of adventures!
This last mod of mine has been released as a a Beta version because so far it has been tested only by myself (hundreds of times, but still I would like to see if it performs well also on other systems). For this reason I did not want to allow voting yet but feedback is welcome on this thread. Please report any problem you might encounter but try to avoid spoilers. Thanks.

The Beta version of my latest mod has been released and the new entry has been added to my first post. Enjoy! :)
Please let me know if you encounter any problem.

Looks really good. I only have a few recommendations at the moment:

Instead of packaging the mod with this structure:

Armageddon\Armageddon v.1.0 Beta Readme.txt
Armageddon\Data\Meshes\
Armageddon\Data\Sounds\
Armageddon\Data\Textures\
Armageddon\Data\Armageddon.esp

I would recommend packaging the archive so that it "could" be extracted directly to Oblivion's Data folder and packaged like this:

Meshes\
Sounds\
Textures\
Armageddon v.1.0 Beta Readme.txt
Armageddon.esp

With the use of the EnvMap2 material for the glassy shine effect on the swords, I'd recommend separating the blade mesh from the hilt mesh so that you could apply the EnvMap2 material to only the blade. This will keep the handle from having a plastic-like and glassy effect in dark areas.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions, much appreciated. I will surely make those changes to my next version as soon as I have time to work on it, probably in a couple of weeks from now.

Hi the link for your armageddon mod sent me here. I am trying your mod but have run into a complication. The first quest for Sir Caius's misplaced key, looked all around and the stable but can't find it. movetoqt does not do anything either. Is the key inside or outside somewhere.

Great job on Armageddon. :D Though 2 problems. #1 sir Caius was still in his room when he was "gone". #2 I couldn't enter the cave to get
thing to kill the boss. (I forgot his name) Still great job!
