Looking for NPC clothing replacer

Post » Thu Feb 03, 2011 7:24 am

I'm looking for a mod that replaces the clothing of NPCs to some of the sixy female clothing as seen in some mods that have been created for player characters. Something along the lines of Aleanne's Clothing mods, those are perfect.
Any help?

Not sure it's been done. At least, not beyond small people-created areas.

I know Hunks and Hotties does that for Vampires and their "Cattle," but not for the whole of Morrowind.

Why not do it yourself? It's not too hard to do (tedious, but not hard), and if you have a lot of BB-specific clothes/armor, you can tweak who gets what to your liking.

... nothing worse than seeing a NPC with a grandma head wearing a thong bikini... *shudder*

Considering the amount of various face replacers that have their own take on "beauty vs realism", it's even more of a screaming issue.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=1689 (+ http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=3929) does this to some extent (not all NPCs are relooked).
Give it a try.

There is also http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1096207-wipz-efcr-clothing-replaceradditions-thread-2/ in the works which will not only replace NPCs' clothes, but do so while paying special attention to factors like race and faction.

I would surely not mind doing it myself but I would not even know where to begin. As in what files are for what etc. Or would it all be done in the construction set?

It would all be done in the construction set. It's not too difficult, just hit the NPC tab (after loading up Morrowind.esm and any relevant expansions/mods- yes, you can load up more than one at a time.) Under the NPC tab, you should see several titles such as "ID" "Name" "Class" "Level" etc. Look for the one labeled "female" and click it twice. It'll modify the NPC list so that the female-only NPCs appear first (you can tell it's female because it says "yes" under the "female" column.) Then, just double-click on the NPC you wish to edit- it'll bring up a menu. Look for "items." That tab will list everything on the NPC that you can loot (basically their inventory.)

To remove items, click on one of the items on the item menu and hit the delete key. To add items, look for the relevant tab (same place you found the NPC tab), "Clothing" and "Armor" in your case. Click and "drag" it to the NPC's item menu, and then hit "save" once you have all the items you want on them.
