Looking for Operative Info

Post » Tue Sep 28, 2010 4:35 pm

I'm going to be running an Operative and I had a few questions that I couldn't find the answers to.

Is the enemy team notified when an Op starts taking a command post, or only after the post is taken? (Also how long does it take to take a post, with and w/o a firewall?)
When disguised, does my gamer tag stay the same when the opposing team aims over me?
When you kill someone, can they use the PS3 voice chat to tell their teammates where I was?

Thanks in advance. Cant wait for release

Excellent questions. The first two are unknown, but as for the last, I may have an answer. There will be communication between teammates, but not at earlier ranks. The way that multiplayer supposedly works is that you reach a higher rank once you reach a certain level. They said something about not being able to team chat until after the second rank. I think you can still talk to people in you party though. Not really sure about that.

As far as the party goes, from what ive read you can only join 2man fire teams. Id assume that there must be a way to have teams of 8.
Figured that these questions were a bit specific, and that Id have to wait for release. Just over anxious to start strategizing.

when you have a disguise if the look at you you wont be identified as a enemy, they'd have to take a chance and shoot at you first but if you do anything the disguise will disappear

You can use Smart (and manual movement controls for wallhops and things) without breaking Disguise - it's active stuff (hacking, shooting, objective-ing) that breaks it.

Yea I was wondering if it would display a green tag over my head, like it does for your allies. I read that allies have name tags that you can see through walls and what not to help with terammate tracking. If disguised operatives dont then it could make it a bit harder to sneak.

Either way Ill make due, just wondering how they are actually going to implement the disguise.
Also I remember reading that operatives can identify disguised enemy ops. Wonder if this means only the operative can see them or if you can mark them kind of like in Battlefield BC 2's spotting feature. Guess simplest thing to do would be to just shoot em, dead Op doesnt need to be Identified to my team.

Well if you're the only one who can see them, and you start shooting, your team will see a friendly Operative shooting someone who looks like a friendly. I know what I'll do when I see a friendly Op doing that halfway through a match... "That's not a friend!" :gun:

I believe there is no way to prevent teammates from communicating with headsets, so I'm pretty sure if one is killed by and operative he'll rat out your position.

They could code it so that they couldnt talk while incapacitated, make them wait until theyre healed or respawned. But either way I wont be hanging out by dead bodies anyway, parkour my skinny a$$ out of there.
