Looking for a simple house mod

Post » Tue Oct 05, 2010 10:33 am

Hello. I have been looking at many house mods but have yet to find one I like a lot. Does anyone know of one that is pretty simple and secluded? As the nerevarine I don't believe I'd really be living in Balmora and I don't want some mansion the size of vivec. I guess I'm looking for a house more in the wilderness without all the whistles, but a private library and treasury is appealing. Thanks if you know of any house mods like that.

http://www.mwmythicmods.com/kwshouses.htm or you can http://search.yacoby.net/

If you can't find what you're looking for, you could turn this into a request thread as a basic dwelling is very easy to make. ;) Or, ...... you could try making your own house.

http://www.elricm.com/Monica/monicas_mods.htm is nice place to retire. Kinda too 'girly' for my taste, but it's very well done.

http://www.mwmythicmods.com/kwshouses.htm is a well organized source for home searching.

Since you can't do one yourself (always my first preference), it's going to boil down to trial and error finding the right one for you.

:P

that looks pretty tight. i've actually been thinking about doing something like that (like all in an exterior) except on the ground for a while now. i'll deffinatly have to try it out.

a few questions though, as it's what has stopped me from doing it: do you still get the random creature waking you up thing ever in it? and do normal creature spawn points ever keep you from getting to sleep? (or did you just pick a really good location without any or get rid of whatever was close enough to affect it?)

thats the sticky with all the links

here is the guide specific to building houses (its much easier then you'd think) http://www.calislahn.com/elder-scrolls/tutorials/

I actually made a housing mod with this sort of request in mind a year or two ago:

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=319848&id=6731

To be concise, this is a simply designed one cell/three room house (bedroom, alchemy/work room, main room) that I designed for one of my Tribunal Temple characters. It's got the usual NoM support and an alchemy sorter, as well as some scrolls scripted to pull out potion reagents for some of the potions I commonly use.

The big deal is the scripted doors. Depending on where you enter the house (read the PES entry for a list) the exit changes to correspond to the cell you entered the house from! All of these but the main entrance in Vivec are in the temples you Almsivi Recall to, so the house is really easy to get into and out of. It keeps your Mark freed up that way, too.

You should give it a try.
