Check the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?showtopic=1072579 category.

Also my list of favorites, and two general rundowns of the list Camaro gave:

Mostly quest mods: http://kno.li/i

My favorite quests are:
http://theelderscrolls.info/?go=dlfile&fileid=349 (my most favorite)
http://www.tesnexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=125368
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21989
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17448
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6977
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6855
Ihttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19591

I'm mostly a quest mod player and I recently posted a big rundown for most of them that I've playedhttp://thenexusforums.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=157600&view=findpost&p=1349075 and http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=924363&topic=51137901.
The two "here"s are missing some of the big quest mods, as well as most of the medium and small... haven't gotten around to playing everything.

I don't know if you've played Heart of the Dead but it's the best there is. I gave up quickly on Integration because I didn't really see what it was trying to do. It's rather confusing and disconnected. I also lost interest in Windfall.

Confusing and disconnected how? The name tells you everything. Everything you do is "integrated" and connected together, all of it playing some role in later things. If you were confused there's always the Spoiler file which tells you where to find the quests and will give small hints. As for what it was trying to do... well, not hold your hand for one thing.

As for Windfall... some of the side quests were hard but I can't really think of any slow portions where you'd lose interest in the main quest line.

Windfall is probably the quest mod with most content and it's all very high quality.

OK Phoenix, sorry if I offended you. I know many people loved Integration and indded Windfall. I know it's well made and all but it wasn't for me. I got confused about how to start quests and all. I didn't see where the story was leading. As for Windfall, I did get to a part that wasn't very interesting and I didn't see what to do next. However I certainly don't want to discourage anyone else from playing them.

I suppose the requirements can be rather unforeseeable at times. There's one requirement for a certain quest that's not mentioned in the Spoiler file and gets asked about a lot... gotta remind bg to change that in the next update.

And I guess some of the Windfall quests are pretty "subtle" and not exactly interesting espionage or combat portions. I guess it all just depends on what keeps your interest. The unique gameplay aspect, and lot's of dialogue/interesting characters was more than enough for me with Integration, and the Story, as well as immersion was enough with Windfall.

I tried the Lost Spires and have a hard time getting past the horrible voice-acting. Someone should have told the modder that accents NEVER work in a game. Also, some of the talking takes minutes of real time. Teav talks like each word is an epic. My suggestion would be to disable the voice acting and just read the subtitles. If you do that, it's still long-winded but less of a bore and you'll be able to tolerate it better.

I'd suggest the Ayleid Steps if you don't mind another "vague" set of quests. It's also very loot friendly because it often allows you access to the bottom levels of Ayleid ruins without having to fight your way down. It's still a great way to travel around quickly that makes sense in the scheme of things. I like teleporting while having no idea where I might wind up :)

One quest that hasn't been listed anywhere in this discussion (and I don't know HOW you people forgot it!) is Kragenir's Death Quest. It adds over 100 small quests that are totally integrated into the game (all of them use vanilla NPCs), along with a big main quest. It's not completely lore-friendly, but if you're looking for a little humor, you should check it out.

Also: Verona House Bloodlines (large post-MQ quest that includes a big house); JQ Assassin Quest (for assassins, duh); and NNWARE (11 new and altered Ayleid ruins, with a couple quests for high-level PCs).

I'm also trying out Return of Shadows, but I don't know if it's any good yet - I haven't gotten very far. :)

I second The Ayleid Steps. I use it with Map Marker Overhaul (you can remove the player icon from the map), so now I can actually become lost. Plus the mod adds like 40 new dungeons.

That is a really cool idea - I never thought it might be fun to get lost without a single clue where you are, and trying to find your way back to civilization. This would be a real challenge then! *Goes off to tweak MMO for this setting* :)

It does lead to some interesting situations. Once I appeared on a mountaintop, it was too foggy to see any landmarks so I started down the mountain. Took me a bit to realize that I had wandered down the wrong side of the mountain and was a good ways into Morrowind.

If you liked the Mazoga quests you'll like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6623 - pretty fun, a nice story and good remake of the inn. (I wouldn't use the link given in the description to use his other mod yet; it seems it's incomplete as of now and a little buggy - the original is fine).

You really like Mazoga, Gankaku, haha. Anyway, I want to put in my 20,000 cents (kind of broke here) for Gates to Aesgaard. I have only played episode 1 (yes, there are two) and it was simply amazing, best atmosphere I have seen in the game yet. It is not a long quest, and you can certainly play it faster or slower than I did. I do not know how long it took to play all the way through, but you can do it in a day...

Edit: Mixed up part of the progression with the Heart of the Dead...

Anyone tried http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25530
The picture of a Mystic Elf (or something smilar) and the words 'companion', 'romance' and 'house mod' is a turn-off for me personally, but it looks like it should be of interest to many.

What turns you off about "romance"? The other two I can see... Anyway I played it a while back before it was fixed (There were some errors in the translation and it was taken down for a long time until the recent fixed version.) The story was alright, house was good, museum/display areas were great, and the companion was moderately interesting. Overall a pretty good mod.
I uninstalled it shortly after beating the "main quest" part and never got very far with the companion. (I had uninstalled it because as I said, it was back when it was buggy, and most bugs had to do with the companion.)

Definitely not a "turn-off" for me, but the incompatibilities killed my interest in it quickly...or basically killed it...

TESNexus page:

Incompatability:
~ Servant of the Dawn
~ Unique Landscapes Arius Creek <-- UL, not to mention an old one
~ Heard of The Dead <-- have not played through this yet, but so...downloaded to many updates for this, it's huge

And I'm pretty girly man so I guess that covers me too :)

As for the conflicts they're nothing that a 'tcl', or high acrobatics won't fix. I used all of them together(HotD, SotD, Saphirias), and sure there was some collision, but you could still access all three necessary places fairly easily.

For UL and HOD, there are compatbility fixes - I have just started trying it out and so far I have been quite impressed.

I remember about a year or so ago, someone made a quest mod that added an archaeology guild. Does anyone remember which mod that is...I can't for the life of me remember.

You mean the Lost Spires...? haha. That is like (and I have to say "like") one of the most well known quest mods that has been around, or so I though...haha. Grab the mod from the main site, Google it. ;)
