Looking for some lore on Privateer's Hold

Hello,

I tried the alternate char start mod that adds Privateer's Hold - starting dungeon from Daggerfall and enjoyed it. So I started to think if it would be possible for my TES3 character to start there and why. I opened UESP and Imperial library, but to my surprise, there is barely any lore info on what actually Privateer's Hold is. So I wanted to ask here, especially people who played Daggerfall (unlike me), for a bit of explanation or any other relevant info.

There is not much lore to the place as it is a starter dungeon, much like the Sewers in Oblivion. I don't think there is even a reason to go back to the place once you finish it. Unless you avoid what is in there in order to get out as quickly as possible.

More than likely it was a pirate lair (hence the term Privateer which is a pirate who works for a government and not a free lancer)

EDIT: It appears the fie has vanished.

Anyway, the mod adds the privateers hold as an alternate chargen for Morrowind. You just gotta find the mod now.
