Looking for some Oblivion mods

Post » Sat Aug 27, 2011 3:15 pm

Ok, i know the nexus is the biggest site for Oblivion mods. I am looking for a mod that increases the view distance, and a mod that puts a more realistic sun, i want the sunsets to be awesome. And i am also looking for a mod that adds better textures.

And if i may, a mod that adds some sort of SSAO or better shading in the game.

Can you find those for me, please ? I don't know how to search there for them.

View Distance - http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20053

Textures - Look in this thread: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1213147-oblivion-the-beautiful/page__hl__oblivion+beautiful

And for SSAO, just find Oblivion Graphics Extender in the thread I linked to above.

OBGE provides many fantastic graphical options, but it is also slightly buggy and fairly tricky to get working correctly. I'm not trying to be mean, but if you are having trouble finding the needed information based upon that prior post, then pursuing OBGE might not be the best idea :(. I don't know of anything other than OBGE which can provide SSAO.

Another great place to get started with graphical improvements is http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/obliviontextureoverhaul.html. Slightly out of date with regard to a couple of newer options, but I don't think there's yet any comprehensive replacement list.

Don't forget that http://planetelderscrolls.ign.com/ is a great site for mods - there might be stuff on there that isn't on Nexus.
