Looking for some old mods of mine

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 8:20 am

Hey guys,

a while back I produced two mods for Morrowind. I hosted them on my own site which I wiped some time ago, and the computer I developed them on crashed.

I'm wanting to resume development of the series, and would like some help.

Their names were "Newcomer" and "Death and Taxes", respectively.

Both made modifications to starting events in Seyda Neen.

If anyone has them, and could make them available to me, I would appreciate it. I'll start over if I have to, but I would rather just resume where I left off.

Thanks in advance...

Already tried that... It's been too long, I guess. I think I'll just start over. I pretty much remember what I originally did.

What do you mean crashed? I m assuming the harddrives went bad and its not worth the money to send em to have the data pulled off?

I'm sure I could pull the data off the drive. Just don't feel like it. Most of what was on that machine was just gaming stuff. I've reinstalled everything. And I had sort of abandoned the mod series for a while. I'm thinking of doing some things a little differently this time around anyway. So if someone finds them in their collection, cool. If not, no big deal.

My goal was to essentially go through the game and integrate Bethesda's quests into a storyline that is intended to encourage the player to feel more attached to the environment. Originally when you start, you don't really care about the nice folk in Seyda Neen. It's just a stick in the mud to trip over. Well I decided that I would tie all of the content together. Let the player get more into the NPCs' head space. Even have an opportunity to own a house there. So even though the events of Seyda Neen are still insignificant in the grand scheme, when it is time to move on, the mud hole would feel like home.

In theory...

Did you release them as G. B. Jackson? I did a search on ES Search and in Morrowind Modding History without getting anything, but both searches work better for me if I am searching for modder, not title.

Edit: If you don't get a response here, you might also try asking in the Mod Detectives thread. Possibly someone will see it there who might have missed this thread.

If you don't mind you can tell Fergus that's okay with me to upload your mods on http://mw.modhistory.com/, so that you can grab them whenever you want and if there is anything else I can help you with just let me know. :)
