Looking for some hi-res texture packages for landscapes/ever

Post » Tue Aug 16, 2011 9:35 am

Hello all! I am Vel Maranus, Dark Elf Spellsword. ^_^

Anyway,

I am looking for some texture packages for Morrowind. I recently started playing Morrowind again on the PC, and I really need some texture mods, as the game is looking a bit dated.

I have seen screens of stuff like this:

and this:

and this:

and this:

Now, these are all screens from a guy named Saint Jiubs thread for his armor textures, but the armor textures aren't what i'm interested in; it's the world! The ground, the walls, they look amazing? WHere can I get texture packs and packages for mods like these??

I'm not looking for script changers and ridiculous stuff like that, I just want TEXTURES to replace the ones in vanilla to make the game look amazing. MGE seems a bit too complicated for me, I'm not a tech genius

If you want a simple pack, head by Planet Elderscrolls and pick up the Visual Pack. As the title suggests, it changes quite a few of MW's visuals, without doing much to the general feel.

For ground/floor textures, ground landscape texture you can look into my mod "Papill6n graphics things" in my signature.
The textures in my mod are all hi-res and faithful to the original base textures (the textures come from of many great textures mods + somes of my own).

Saint_Jiub is active on the forums. You might try sending him a PM if you want the names of the texture mods he uses.

The basics: Better Bodies, LizTail's Beast Bodies, Better Heads, Better Clothes, More Better Clothes, Canadian's Ice Robes, Darknut's Weapon, Armor, and Creature Textures, Better Deities, Visual Pack, Connary's Textures, Mesh Improvements, Bloodmoond Landscape Overhaul, SWG skies, Vurt's Skies, Better Books, Vurt's Hi-Res Menu books and scrolls, and Oblivion Septims.

All this can be found through http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html site in that order. :)

any mods that make the cities feel more..alive? I downloaded most of those except MGE and the cities are still very bare. ESPECIALLY Alduin, it's a ghosttown. No plants, no nothing.

You mean Ald'ruhn? Alduin is the one causing trouble in Skyrim :)

There are a great deal of city revamp mods out there, many of them add things like plants, more merchants selling their wares on tables in the streets, lampposts, more houses, more NPC walking around, etc. etc. Just search PES/TES Nexus for whatever city most suits you, I'm sure you'll find something to your liking.

There's also http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=563 and http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8118 (be sure to check out the expansion of this), and http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=2786. They should bring plenty of life to your game.

If you want more trees and stuff to make the world feel bigger, definitely check out Vality's Bitter Coast and Ascadian Coast mods that adds a bunch of trees and plants to the world.

Also try Vvardenfall Comes Alive that adds schedules to the NPCs.

Try my mod if you feel that the cities are too barren. Be aware that it does change a lot of other things too. Check my sign for link.

Also try searching at planetelderscrolls if you want to check for other town expansions. :)
