I'm used to freer forums where I make the rules. So where do I propose ideas for RP?

Well I remember when very few people used to post idea threads, but nowadays it's customary to post an idea thread, so that people can propose additions or ways to make it better. Then, after you have the players, you post the rp thread itself. Though if you're new here, I suggest you read Illusionary Nothing's guide that's pinned at the top.

EDIT: Though, now that I think about it, I think idea threads were always popular, just at that specific time when I began it wasn't usual.

You don't necessarily need an idea thread, but it does offer people a chance to critique your RP, put up character sheets, etc. It's really just a heads up, you can do whatever you like.

Well, I have a lovely RP, The Vivec Incident, Your welcome to join. i'd also suggest reading Illusionary Nothings "So you think you can RP" n the important topics in Fan fiction. Tells you the dos and donts of RPing. VERY important.

Naw, I knew it was a joke. I just like yelling stalker cause I never get the opportunity.

And it's not awkward. Just typical BGSF for ya. Is that good or bad? :huh:

Oh and to remain on topic, before you make an RP, I'd suggest you join a few, get a feel for the style and the people. Bit late now, but hey.

I guess I could do, that, but that tends to be harder for me then contributing my own. Got to have people comfortable with my ideas before I contribute to theirs.

Well, we tend to post the beginning to our RP, like an intro, anyway when we do a recruitment thread. So, you can always just count what you've got up as the beginning that introduces us to the topic/gives us some insight on it.

EDIT: I should mention that I'm a newbie myself, just joined at the beginning of the month...and I've already been svcked into quite a few RP's, plus have my own going.

Naw, they shouldn't. Just follow the rules and do what the host says, and most will point out any mistakes and help you correct them. Hosts wouldn't last very long if they went off on people. And no one should be sending you angry messages unless you seriously do something wrong. Which should never happen so long as you're willing to learn.

Just remember, grammar and spelling are a must. Use a text editor with a spell check, like MS Word, before you post. And then just follow your instincts. Most RPing is just common sense and paying attention.

I admit, I was a bit skeptical at first when I came to this forum a little while back. But when I read a few of the RP's here I decided to try my hand at it and joined one. So far, it's a blast. I think you'll like it here. Give one or two a whirl and see what I mean. ^_^
