I've had Oblivion for ages and I've only just joined the forum.

I'm actually looking for an Oblivion RP either one on one in an Instant Message or a group RP in a chat room. I'm not really good at Message Board or Play by Email RP's so I generally prefer to RP in Instant Messages and Chatrooms

If you want to RP or know where I can find an RP like this, get in touch? PM me maybe? Let me be the first to give you a fishy stick, and tell you a little about how things work here.

The roleplays here are not be email, instant message, chat room, etc. but right here on the forum. A person proposes an idea for a roleplay, gets people to join, then posts the first message and the others follow suit, each following their own character. The characters talk and interact, but follow a main plot set by the creator of the roleplay. For an example, see one of the many many RPs below, or check out the guide for some advice.

Sadly, if you are looking for a chatroom RP, you will be hard pressed to find one. I have never heard of one on these forums myself, but someone else might have.

Really, the best way to figure it out is to look for yourself. Browse this section of the forum and "lurk", so to speak.

If you create your own RP/Fanfictions, Darkom will usually be there to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, I know as he has been very helpful for me, I hope he can help you too.

Hackworthy already gave me a fishy stick. I've put it in a safe place, I thought best not to actually eat it.

I'm not good at Forum RP's I just find them too slow. (No offence to any Forum RP lovers, I just can't cope with them )

Mostly I'm just looking for a couple of people to RP with in IM's or Chat if anyone if interested get in touch . I've read a few of the threads going on here and they look good, but it's just not my scene (Because I get confused easily and have a bad memory )

Ah well I understand your memory problem, a real shame. But some of the RP's here do move quite fast, obviously not like IM or chatroom but still they can go at a decent speed. But I guess in your state is isn't going to be easy. Shame actually .

To be honest, i joined this forum back in february to get some help figuring out the GECK for Fallout 3, and when i stumbled upon this section i thought it looked eternally fruity. Alas, by some trick of fate i got svcked in and now i can't seem to escape.

My point is, give it a chance before you run off to your IM party.

The only person who's been reviewing Lichcraft is Burntsierra for me. Is nobody interested?

To be fair, there are now three necromancer stories floating about. I'll have to try and make mine different, or at least have it have more longevity.

I was concerned when Zalphon's showed up after I got here, and then there was Lichcraft, because I was still planning mine when both of those started. I assure you, from what I can tell, the three are different enough that you shouldn't have to make an effort to keep yours unique.

If you want an RP on the forums to get your juices flowing you should try drunken dragon inn. It moved fast because there are no character sheets involved and anyone can join. And its so randome that memeory isnt ALWAYS a problom

That's true, to be honest it builds bad habits of one liners and post with scarce detail.

I don't think anyone here RPs by IM.

I know I never would. Either I'd be stuck at my computer for hours at a time IMing or the story would be too short for any character development, or anything else interesting.

Well, buddy, everyones gotta start rping sometime. If you do end up wanting to RP, there are plenty of vets, (Like me) willing to help you out. Also, take a good look at Illusionary Nothings "So You think you can RP" on the important topics. RPing gets much easier around your 2nd or third RP. your first one is always fun though, even if it isnt when you do your best.

As for IM RPs, are you talking more on the lines of a traditional Pen and Paper RPg type thing?

The Timeline has svcked you into it's web of trickery and addiction. It's impossible to escape now. Only those with the greatest strength of will have gotten away, and they always make a return at some point. It's too awesome to stay away from.

I managed to quit for a couple days in June. That is as far as i got.

I only popped in to try and track somebody down for some casual RP and now I'm getting svcked in.

I guess I'm going to have to start RPing here. Damn. More of my time getting svcked up.

wtf is a play by email rp. Thats the stupidst ass thing i've ever heard of!!!!

It's more of a chat thing, from what I know of it. Sort of like rping over MSN, or short stuff like the... What's the name? The Inn thing, I never look at it. It's short, quick, and easy, which is what most rps on the internet are like if you ever go searching.

EDIT: Oh, and I have MSN, though I never use it. No Yahoo.

So I already messed up by starting an RP without getting people to join in the first place?
