I'm looking for a texture pack, and maybe a little advice.

Hi, I recently downloaded the Skyrim HD 2K texture pack, the medium res version, I think it was 2048x2048. And everything plays nicely.

However, with Oblivion, If I use Quarls Texture Pack with Better Cities it is too much for my computer and it stutters. Which leads to me questions:

1) What resolution is QTP?

2) Does QTP come in lower resolutions?

3) If there are no lower res version of QTP, what is another good complete texture pack that either has a range of resolutions to choose from or is of medium resolution?

Thanks

I don't know the texture size of QTPIII, but you may find that info on http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/obliviontextureoverhaul.html (which has a lot of older texture packs described).

Alternatives. (nexus not working so you will have to search these names once it is up)
By itself or with sparse other textures packs: Really Textured Normals

Vibrant Textures by CorePC (vanilla size but better) which can by used with Bomret's Normal Maps.

A somewhat heavier pack is MTGR texture pack.

For Flora check out Vurt (the one for Nehrim can be used with Oblivion) and/or Lush and Gaudy.

Laush and Gaudy. Just tried these and it transforms the entire world. Worthy of a look and I think it lower resolution than QTP3.

QTP3 textures are mostly 1024x1024, some are lower

There are few versions for those who need something that does not strain the machine too much. One is called QTP3 Redimized and the other is Pyffied version of the original. It depends on your specification so try either one and see how it goes. BTW you are not alone because BBC is supposed to strain your machine. Try using the fps patch to help reduce stuttering. Avoid using RAEVWD imperial city and city architecture option if you use them. Bomret's texture pack is an alternative like others mentioned also but the game will run with lower fps because of so many contents being added from BBC.

The resolution in QTP3 depends on the original texture size.
Some big textures are 2048X2048, and some are 1024X1024 or lower.

The problem is Oblivion's engine, not the textures.

From what I've seen so far yep, there could be a few higher resolution ones in there though.
