Since there's no Mod Detectives on this sub-forum I thought I'd make a thread.

I'm looking for any of the following mods, so if anyone could help that'd be great-
-Mod that adds Halo weapons or armor.
-Good LMG weapon mods/ guns with drum mags.
-Good L85 weapon mod.
-Good F2000 weapon mod.

And also does anyone know if/ where I can get Ahztek's Weapon mod since it's no longer available on the nexus?

There is a Mod Detectives thread but it's nearly full and about a dozen pages back. I'll go make a new thread for it.

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41626 has a ton of weapons in it so I'd look there first for the weapons you seek. The Halo armors were ripped so nobody can leave links as it's against the rules.

Why would you want a mod like that?
There are tons of weapon mods with energy weapons that fit the setting, so asking for Halo weapons... Why?

Why not? I don't care for energy weapons, I would just like to have the Battle Rifle, DMR, sniper, shotgun, or pistol. They are cool guns.

I just don't see the point to it. If you want Halo why not go play Halo?
There is a wide selection of guns in the game alone and with lore-friendly mods there is trice more.
Yet you want weapons that don't fit the lore at all considering they are part of a different franchise in an alternate universe.
Like I said, I don't see the point to it.

maybe there is no point... does there have to be one? just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there.

some of us, like myself, come from a quake 3 arena type of background and just do stuff because we can... imagine a realm where a vast spectrum of characters and whatnot have coexisted. like the simpsons, snoopy, laura croft, aeon flux, raziel, neo, cloud strife, tifa, sephiroth, bender, boba fett, darth vader, batman, catwoman, joker, harley quinn, 2pac, spongebob, the tick, spawn, violater, robocop, and more... all in one game! of course, i currently don't have all that going on in my new vegas game, but having the experience can really change a gamers tolerance. so in contrast, only asking for some halo stuff is entirely reasonable by comparison. unfortunately mods of that caliber get flagged and removed all the time for copyright reasons or whatever? i still personally think if someone genuinely created it and isn't making $ by charging for downloads, then it should be respectively considered a type of fan art... not infringement.

Wouldn't understand any of that either.
I can understand wanting a playground with fun stuff.
But when it is a franchise with a certain lore then I feel that anything that doesn't fit it has no right to be in it.

Doesn't mean I don't think others should use those kinds of mods just cause I can't.
I'm just curious as to why they feel like "changing" a setting with things that don't fit it.

Some of us don't care about lore. Some of us have imaginations creative enough to be able to think of a reasonable explanation for just about anything to be in there. Some of us played vanilla until we were bored with it and need to change it up. Some people thought Obs made mistakes and needed to change things to play the game at all. We all bought and paid for the game the same as you and we're all entitled to play it in a way in which gives us the most enjoyment. For you, that may mean running all over Hell and half of Hades delivering messages and packages in your power armor and Cowboy Repeater but for others that means something entirely different. It doesn't make you wrong or me right. Different strokes for different folks. Do you really want to live in a world in which everyone is the same because I sure don't.

Lol, but how would you know which you you actually were? o.O

We'd all get tattoo's in our foreheads, so I'd be able to keep track of who were who in the near vicinity at least.
