Looking for tips: main quests

Post » Sun Aug 28, 2011 1:14 pm

Greetings all,

I am around level 17, have confronted Benny in the casino and have quests from Mr. House, Yesman and I was summoned to Caesar (even though I've been playing as the uber good guy, I somehow do not have the quest from the NCR).

The way I want to play the game "for real" is probably independent or NCR, but am considering doing the Caesar one now while I have been granted immunity.
A few questions:

1. Can that be done at my level?
2. If I don't know, am I able to later?
3. Is there a "best" place to get to before diverging to play the various end game quests?

Finally,
4. does giving Mr. House the platinum chip still allow me to let other factions win?

Thanks a lot!

1.) Caesar play-through at 17? Yes. It can.
2.) You can. I've done it at 8.
3.) What do you mean?
4.) Yes, from my experience. I have given it to him, upgraded the securitrons, but then turned on him and worked for Caesar.

I don't want to give too many spoilers but yes you can start the main faction quests at your level. Also, if you plan on being "uber good" then the Legion isn't for you. I would recommend doing several playthroughs of the game so that you can experience all four main questlines. If your wondering about other info you can always go to the fallout wiki for help with quests.

Just type in the name of the quest you are having trouble with and it will you give you a walkthrough of that quest, but beware, there are a lot of spoilers in most of the articles on the wiki, so keep that in mind.
Hope this helped

BTW you should think about posting this type of question in the Fallout New Vegas hints tips and spoilers section of the forums, not in DLC general discussion.

Ah, crap. Maybe a moderator can move this for me? That was accidental lol.

I know the Legion are bad, but I want to see that ending if it's not *too* long, and now seems like the time since I have immunity.

3. I meant, is there a better place to get to in the game, that is closer to the end of all the factions. i.e. reload to *that* spot to play a different ending.

Giving House the chip doesn't hurt the Yesman quests?

You do realize, joining with a faction is truly only the mid point in the game.

Ceaser has many quest for you, NCR has even more, Mr. House needs a few things taken care of, Yes Man needs some more info of the outlaying tribes of New Vegas.

You have still yet to complete the half of just the main story, let alone all the other quest.
