Looking at specific CELL changes

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 4:55 am

I have been looking for the RELZ thread for TES4Edit but could not find it and was beginning to feel nauseous scrolling through the search pages.

Question: I am interested to see what my mods in my list places in a specific cell in tamriel. What tool can I use and how can I easily use a search to find the specific cell?

I loaded up my mods in TES4Edit but didn't know of any way to specify, say, cell -20,1 in Tamriel worldspace to see what happens there with all my mods. So that's why I am starting a new topic even though I dislike doing so. Hope to see an answer when I come back from the gym :D

Cheers!

I believe that a specific cell will always be at the same point in the hierarchy. So a Tamriel cell will be under worldspace/tamriel/block(n,n) etc. I'm not sure of the mapping of block to cell number, but it looks like a simple piece of math is involved (e.g divide by some number and round) so once you know the block number for the cell you can go straight to it.

There's a modders resource map on Nexus that lists all of the blocks and sub-blocks for where cells are located. Unfortunately their current issue with the site is nerfing any attempts to find the download link.

No problemo Arthmoor!
I got that just an hour ago reading your thread about corrupt spawn points. Although fixing the spawn points in the area did not fix it. It aught to have been a spawn point but there is none left now, removed them all - none was essential to my playing, nor to any quest. Also cleaned up some pathing conflicts if that was the issue. Guess I'll do the waiting game and see if it really is a spawn point somewhere else maybe...

Cheers!
