LOOT

A plugin load order optimiser for TES IV: Oblivion, TES V: Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

Introduction

Setting the right load order for your mods is a crucial step to enjoying a stable modded game. The Load Order Optimisation Tool (LOOT) can help with that, by providing automated load order sorting that's simple to use and fully customisable.

While sorting, LOOT checks for load order errors such as incompatibilities and missing requirements, and notifies you of any issues that it detects. It also provides thousands of plugin-specific messages such as usage notes and bug warnings, to help keep your game healthy.

LOOT can be downloaded from its http://loot.github.io.

I haven't had time to look at anything LOOT-related recently, and won't have time this weekend, but quoting the below posts to get around not being able to quote from locked threads, and to help make sure I don't forget.

From the last thread.

If you had read the linked thread you'd know all that is taken care of. I had the same mod list with my LOOT play through as with the previous one sorted by BOSS, when I didn't have the problem. The issue was gone when using BOSS again for my new play through with exactly the same mod list. I've tried to check TES5Edit but haven't found anything suspicious (although I'm no expert on it). And, yes, the mods are tagged, the Bashed Patch is properly rebuilt and the Reproccer patches as well. The only thing that is different is that the load order is sorted by LOOT.

I've been fiddling with tes5edit and while I have only come to scratch the surface, I think I did the cleaning correctly (according to the guide) and nothing has really changed.

Just to make sure I'm not messing up, I loaded only the mods that needed cleaning according to LOOT, added a filter to clean and then removed all 'identical to master' records. Checked with LOOT and still messy, so I fiddled with other options:

Applying a filter to show all identical to master and the conflict status inherited by parent returns nothing.

Applying the filter earlier but without the 2nd option returns all 4 official updates, but the few entries I checked report multiple records WITHOUT conflicts, so everything seems OK.

Undeleting and disabling referencies reports some navmeshes which can't be deleted. I don't know 100% how this works but my guess according to what I've learned so far (1 day only, easy on me :D) is that it sort of hides redundant/orphan variables so they aren't read?

I'll be fiddling with this for a while and help further if I can.
