Lord of the Rings Online

Tried a Hunter last night, that was a fun class. Got the Deed for making it to 10 without being defeated. Of course, I promptly got [censored] by three goblins, so I won't be finding out if there are any Deeds for making it higher (unless someone will tell me :P).

Yeah you get the Indomitable at level 14, the Unscathed at level 17 and the Undying at level 20 ^_^

Add me to the American list. I play on Meneldor as Radont, Terinwulf, Sindorlas, and Azmaveth. I also have a Terinwulf character on Landroval.

I am going to try playing it more even though I have slow internet with a bandwidth cap of 250mb per day.

At level 25 you should be able to do the Great Barrow instance.

How many people do you need to do the Great Barrow quests? I'd really like to give it a go (the rewards look sweet) but finding it tough to find a fellowship because I play on UK times.

6 people. Or a couple high level people. All my high levels are on different servers or I'd be able to help you, as it stands my level 9 isn't gonna be able to do much for you.

6 people? Jeez, don't see that happening for a while. Thanks anyway.

I remember when I played the free trail last year, I took my level 23 hunter down there on his own, thinking that I'd be able to do a few of those quest on my own... I was wrong.

Added Sir Radont to the list...

Do you need 6 people for the Barrows or can you do it with 5 or even 4 strong players?

Gah! I always get killed at Dol Ringwest. I'll be standing there fighting one goblin, then suddenly 4 more will spawn. And of course there is no way to retreat. So, aggravating and not particularly fun. Gee, I really see myself spending money on this. No wonder it was floundering.

Depends on what the levels are in the group. You might be able to do it with just one high level friend, or a couple mid level people.

You still play? Last time I was on and checked it said you hadn't been on for months.

Well, considering the game relaunched as F2P, it might be better to just download it.

Yep, I have been playing more on the Landroval server than the Meneldor one but I will get back into my main in the coming weeks.

Hmmh, good news for MMO- Ring fans, then. Me, I've sworn offa most online games, dunno if I'd give a try. I tend to grow bored fast with these things, and they always try to pull a fast one on me and spout these 'Free to Play' schemes where your lvl 1 sword costs 10 bucks IRL. Bah. *Sigh*

Still, good for all of you'se MMORPG fans out there.

Anyways. I bought some TP so I was able to get the first quest pack and the riding skill. Level 19 right now. Finishing up in Bree, then I'll head over for the Lone Lands quest pack.

Anybody feel free to add me ingame :) Dagidor on Meneldor.

Sorry guys not in a mood to read 10 pages, so can you guys tell me what you guys do in the game? I don' have much room on my laptop. about 10 gigs left. So even though it's free, what do you do? Is it more like Diablo or Guild Wars? I only played about 1 hour of GW and havn't returned for some reason even though I paid for it. I always said I would reinstall it. So instead of that, should I tryout LotR?

I jst don't want to take the time to download it, and then install it finding I don't want to play it. I havn't tried any MMO game beside GW and I only played that alone. So what is LotR MMO like?

Nice, let me know when you get into the level 20's and maybe we can try and get some people together to do some Great Barrows quests. :)

Well thats not good, my install takes up about an entire 12.8GB (though I do have Mines of Moria expansion too). Its fun, tons of quests (if you buy them). Most revolve around you killing a certain amount of enemies or going to find items.

Be careful where you monster play at, you'll get ganked. If you're on the new servers you should be safe for now.
