Lore Clarification: City of Los

Post » Mon Jul 06, 2015 12:18 pm

Hello, I have come to the Bethesda Forums after having my initial inquiry towards 'The City of Los' dejected, which is not the same thing as rejected, by Bethesda. My correspondence with the company pretty much sighted to ask the question here since the lore clarification itself could not be answered through traditional avenues of inquiry. By this, I mean, that the only avenues of correspondence available to Bethesda, are also incapable of answering the question of which city actually is 'Los' from the Fallout Series, since those avenues pretty much all end up on the Technical Desk... and since this is a lore question, the Technical Desk doesn't really have the authority to clarify this for me.

So, onto the matter at hand. Currently, 'The City of Los,' is known as Los Ybanez in Fallout Lore. However, I did an above average amount of research into the matter and cobbled together a poorly rendered youtube video which debunks that location in favor of the far more likely location of Dallas.

(I do not have approval to post links)

My evidence pretty much boils down to Los Ybanez not having anything in common with 'The City of Los' and with me being able to match the cities skyline on two seperate occassions to that of Dallas, as well as Dallas also possessing all of the other things associated in lore to 'The City of Los.'

I require approval for this because... let's just say that I'm almost done with a mod... a big mod, which will come out before Fallout 4.

You're referring to material from Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, which is problem numero uno.

The game is non-canon, and thus nothing from the game is part of Fallout Lore unless confirmed by an actual canon source. Los can be Los Ybanez, Dallas, or Timbuktu. The end result is still the same.
