lore friendly common sense friendly backpacks?

what i mean is that its kinda odd my character can run around skyrim with 400-600 pounds of random clutter and weaspons all day for days in a row..how about a pack mule or pack horse that can wait by the dungeon entrance to store some of this extra stuff..it would be for roleplaying purposes mainly as im glad to have the inventory space but RP wise it makes sense to have a packhorse...or a bag of holding to stow my 12 suits of armor and 6 longswords...

That definitely gave me a laugh. I completely agree with you for an RP style of playing. I have actually thought about this myself, many times. I have found a few mods for Oblivion on PC for some pack mules which were each very friendly in terms of adjusting distance and whether they follow you through doors and into dungeons. However, unfortunately as my laptop can not handle Skyrim, I haven't searched for anything Skyrim related. I feel it would be a great addition as a console DLC. Possibly an advanced option at the beginning of your game to set it to normal or RP style that could actually altar your own encumbrance level. Then again it would probably be a drastic reduction rendering you unable to loot much in the beginning in order to obtain enough funds in order to purchase any sort of pack mule, horse, or bags of holding.

TL;DR Great idea. Possible addition of an RP play style?

There are mods for that if you're on PC. Every game since Morrowind has had mods to allow backpacks and multiple containers. It can actually be really helpful to have an ingredient bag, for example, either in your backpack or in your inventory. But yeah, I've often thought saddlebags and a packhorse would make a lot of sense.

Morrowind actually had http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Pack_Guar in the game, but IIRC you could only really use them with mods.

There's also something that you can 'acquire' in Solstheim if you have Dragonborn, though it's probably 2/3 of the way through the quest.
Spoiler

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Dragonborn:Dremora_Butler, but max carry weight is only 148.

This is the Elder Scrolls, the fact that you are worried about something like that when there are much worse to be worried about is kinda worrying.

not everyone plays on the pc..i play on console for the last year or so cuz my pc decided it isnt good enough to run complex games anymore. until i buy a new pc this is the situation. its a common situation actually. really good gaming pcs are not cheap and the economy is not good.

i see weird requests on here all the time. you never know when a weird request or uncommon thought will inspire others or pique the interest of the masses. i see no harm in mentioning things like this. if the majhority disAgrees or is uninterested so be it. if they like it then great.
