Lore-friendly music suggestions?

Post » Mon Aug 29, 2011 3:50 am

So I have this mod for both FALLOUT 3 and New Vegas which allows over 32,000 songs to be added into the radio. Heavily considering adding thousands of songs which are lore-friendly. But might even try to make my own mod which has 60's-90's rock in it such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Metallica, Def Leppard, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Oingo Boingo, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Traveling Wilburys, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and more.
I was even considering making James Bond characters. Of course Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Possibly even attempt a total conversion BLADE RUNNER/TOTAL RECALL 2070 mod.
So any suggestions for lore friendly music? Classical music would of course be lore-friendly along with film composers from the 1910's to the 1960's.

I say Elvis music, he appears in 3 games if I remember, Fallout 1 and 2 and New Vegas. But no music... :( (obvioulsy because it would cost a lot of money)

But this is the greatest benefit of mods for PC, especially if there're mods such as adding 32,000 songs from your own music library on your computer. Music licensing be damned.
Hell, I was heavily considering adding spy music such as James Bond, Mission: Impossible, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Saint, The Prisoner and other similar music from the 1960's and so on. Maybe even some Doctor Who music also. Mostly last part since I downloaded mods for a Third Doctor save, the TARDIS (has both Peter Davison and Matt Smith interior choices and could use more) and Second/Third/Fourth Doctor sonic screwdriver. Would be nice if there were save games for all Eleven Doctors. But this is more for the Nexus.

Only rock n' roll, blues, jazz and the like. No AD/DC or any other semi-modern stuff.

May I just say you have a great taste in music, but I don't think any of those bands can be considered 'lore-friendly' but you can listen to those bands unless you really specifically want lore-friendly music, in which case I'd recommend the obvious, Sinatra, Elvis, or if you want rock The Beatles, maybe even a little bit of Hendirx if ya feelin psychadelic ;)

Thanks for these!

I was considering making a spare and swappable song list for when I want to rock out while playing. It'll be far easier making the rock out compilation compared to something heavily lore friendly. More big bands would be good.
