From a lore perspective, is there a difference between "lore" and what the player experiences in-game? For example, in Oblivion, my character was the hero of cyrodiil, leader of all four guilds and the KotN, and became Sheogorath. However, this seems like an awful lot for one person to do. Similarly, in Skyrim, my character was Dragonborn who defeated Alduin, lead all four guilds, defeated the vampires and Miraak. Is all of this cannon? Or do in-game episodes/adventures/scenarios not necessarily = lore?
