Lore Justified TES 5?

Or they can ignore the rumors and make a totally different plot, like they did for Oblivion (actually one person mentioned it, but that was already when pre-production on Oblivion had started). If we take into account the rumours in vanilla Morrowind, the main plot would have been have been about the Emporer dying and his doppelganger heirs (which would have been cool.)The PGE has better plot ideas than the in-game rumours anyway.

With the number of in-game rumors there are, it seems as if they made it to where any place would be a feasible choice. In Morrowind, by the time they released Bloodmoon, they seemed to have an idea of what they were going to do. In Oblivion, they may have decided to say a little of everything to keep their options open.

Or, as a previous poster said, it's so they can make an MMORPG, so every race has a starting area. Which I would detest.

I can pretty much guarantee you the game will have something to do with Akavir, or the Sload. Why wouldn't you believe Thurindiil? He's blowing the whole plan for ESV. He's just like those other crazies in Morrowind that prophesied Oblivion. Unless there's another crazy in Oblivion I don't know about that conspicuously tells us ESV.

The difference is that when Bloodmoon and the prophesizing crazy came out, Oblivion was already in pre-production. After SI, Fallout 3 was in production. It would be fun if Fallout 3 had a hint of what TES V would hold though. :P

The Oddfrid prophecy said only of when the dragon dies the empire dies. Though I didn't see any dragon dying untill the end of the game.

Its vague, really. The Septim family is the so called 'dragon', as mentioned thought TES. 'Dragonblood' for example. Nothing a prophet says should be taken completely to the letter. For example, a prophet prophecies 'Angels will perish' although an angel may die, someone, for example named Angel, could also die. Just depends on how you interpret it.

If they are still humanoid mortal races with behavior and personalities resembling humans it is not so different from the premise of Morrowind's plot, really, except for being an inside threat rather than an external one. After all, Dagoth Ur is by no means human, never was, and I would say that any race from Akavir is more human than his servants, at least they are mundane races instead of horribly mutated monstrosities.

But look what they did to the daedra! They'll do the same thing to the Akaviri, mark that! It should be something internal so that it dosen't become another cliched monsterfest like Oblivion shouldn't have been.

The most interesting stuff (for me) is hearing about what's going on with the Khajiit/Argonians. Especially things like the Bosmer trying to take over the Khajiit homeland, and whatnot. I think it'd be great if the next game focused on one/all of those areas. However, I'm not sure if Bethesda would want to set the next game in either the Argonian or Khajiit lands.

It's actually the Khajiit wanting to take over the Bosmer homeland. Bosmer, conquest?
