An in-lore out-of-lore question regard Telvanni Vampires.

So, I found this [censored]in’ Raziel armor mod. Now, some of you might be asking, "Treng, what is a Raziel and why is it pertinent to your lore question?" Back in the 90s there was a game series called the Legacy of Kain, which is largely about vampires fighting pre-destiny and other out-sideresque greater beings. Infact, a lot of the Herma Mora quest chain seems inspired by Soul Reaver/Soulreaver2/Defiance from LoK.

Now, vampires in LoK cocoon themselves after a while and evolve. They gain chitinous skin, claws, and other sometimes unique gifts. In regards to this, I'm specifically referencing the chitinous skin and claws.

I’ve long had a Telvanni Wizard character who was also a vampire. I was thinking of saying crazy ass Telvanni wizard hijinks went abound, using magic like alteration to turn one's flesh hard, or exploring the depths of vampirism to turn one's hands and feet into claws.

Is it too out there?

Virinac,

I don't care what you've heard in your lunatic travelings across the armpits of Tamriel. There's not a shred of evidence anywhere in the archives to suggest such a thing as daft as utilizing Alteration to "fleshcraft" armor directly onto the body.

I will admit, there is a small anecdote in some of the older ledgers to suggest some mad Dunmer Alterationist was obsessed with the Kwama. Specifically how the Warriors were basically a fusion of forager and worker...it's all daft. You ought to see the expense ledgers - crazy fetcher bought an entire Egg Mine back in the Third Era.

But that's it. One mention out of all the old records. Admittedly, we lost quite a lot of the Vvardenfell bunch after the Red Year, but this? This is pure fancy. Like all those tales about the Falmer the Nords keep going on about.

Yeah, but you could also have unlocked a skill to mirror the Kwama.

Regardless, it's certainly possible. For a Telvanni...little is impossible.

However, a good amount of 'volunteers' are often needed before they get it right, let alone safe. Or that area of research is boring and therefore stupid.

Oh, I totally misunderstood your post, then.

Hah.

I like how the Talvanni are the mad scientists of the Elder Scrolls.
