How about Jyg IS Sheo? No, not that way, not the mainstream way. What if he was just Sheo effing with you?

actually, you know what, someone get Lady N's Arden-sul writeup in here.

A theory that I have not heard before, and which would explain Jyggalag's absence in the Fourth Era. It also has the advantage of being effectively impossible to disprove. Any evidence to the contrary can easily be dismissed by invoking Sheogorath's madness.

However, it strikes me as unacceptably boring. Just another mad prank of a mad god. I find the internal struggle of Jyggorath's impossible mind much more compelling.

As for Lady Nerevar's theory on the nature of Arden-Sul...well, I am uncertain.

The icing on my (well, not necessarily my own) crackpot cake is the CoC. He was Sheo the whole time. Even the less shivery bits.

Edit: ouch. Having BATW called on you hurts inside. Touché, though.

No apology necessary, it's always a point worth bringing up.

A little off topic i think.
But i have herd a bunch of people complaine about how sheo wasn't the same as he was in oblivion and that he didn't have his cane and all that. But like some one said a few posts back that hes is now the CoC. So if you think about it in skyrim when you see him your actually talking to the CoC and not the sheo from oblivion. because the sheo from oblivion is now jigg. As for how he wound up looking and sounding like him i have no idea maybe its just what happens when a mortal becomes a god. I guess when they do if they a replacing a god like you do in OB you would slowly turn into that god. this all IMO of course.

Sorry just ahd to say that and didn't feel like spend the time to look for that thread i was reading when i saw that.

Well you hit some of it pretty good. When you act like a god that god becomes you. You act like Arden-Sul who-WAIT. Bloody never mind. Where's Lady Nerevar's doo-hickey... ah, found it. Take a look at http://www.imperial-library.info/content/arden-sul While it does deal specifically with Sheogorath, the ideas in it are vital to understanding the overall lore of the gods and it's probably the most accessible example of the ideas in action.
