Lose the Bats

Actually- I'll be more satisfied if we can kill/use the bats for something.

Grass looks stupid and even if they wouldn't they wouldn't fit into a grassland.

Lose the grass

I think Straw looks stupid.

Lose the strawman.

No, I liked them. Bats are supposed to be in dark places.

Nope, they look fine to me. Your opinion is obviously wrong.

Hahaha! No, OP's opinion is not right or wrong. And neither is yours...or mine! :P That being said, the bats look fine to me and add to the atmosphere (as others have already said) of exploring a dark, dank cave.

They didn't disappear very abruptly. The distance wasn't that short, and they didn't all fade at once.

As for "cheesy", am I to understand that bats are an obscure, european thing that people in other parts of the world believe to be fictional?

Spoiler
Maybe you meant "keesey." ^_^

but how do they get in and out of the doors? LOL

seriously hope the 'caves' don't have doors on them like in OB

There were plenty of holes in the ceiling, and no. Caves don't have doors over them anymore.

Are you kidding me? The bats are going to be great when actually playing yourself. I wonder if they'll have others like spiders and rats purely for aesthetics. Imagine walking into someone's home and seeing spiders crawling on the wall or something. I'll probably have to suggest that to modding community.

No, I think it adds atmosphere. They aren't perfect but it wasn't the main focus for me.

Agreed, the bats were a nice touch, but not really what I would focusing on down there. :tops:

It's fine. I don't see the problem. No one has been down there for hundreds of years, probably.

I think they're going to look incredible at 1920x1080... but chances are if you end up on console with 1024x600 they may look a little "pasted in" but still, bats should be something you glance at and immediately go back to worrying about bigger problems

As long as they don't go through people and things

Edit: and it is nice to have bats without a strong vendetta against the player for once in a game.

I think the only reason you (and others who nitpick small details) noticed them in a bad way is because it's not out yet. Once it's out I'm sure you'll rarely notice small details.

For me, I liked the atmosphere they added. And since I was intent into the video, I'll admit they even made me jump a bit. ^_^

I liked the bats

But seeing how some people wanted to take out giant spiders from TES5
I think that's just personal preferences

At 6:30 in the second HD video, bats fall from the ceiling and flutter off into the distance. The only problem is they look awful and abruptly disappear. Anyone else find this distracting? Personally I don't think it would work even if it DID look right, but that may just be me.

i disagree, he was in cave, bats live in caves therefore not cheesy, realistic not to mention atmospheric
