Lose the "Extras",please.

There are plenty of huge open world sandbox games without clutter like GTA, JC2, and RDR. Having a fully realized world is what sets Bethesda apart from all those other games. Give up clutter? Why don't we give up skills and character creation while we're at it and then it can be just like every other 2 inch deep sandbox game out there.

I like my sandbox to be a little deeper, thank you very much.

This.

ES games are all about the clutter. (One of the reasons I didn't like FO:NV as much - the "set decoration" wasn't on the same level as a Beth game. Obsidian put more energy into the incredibly complex web of MQ-quests, Bethesda builds better worlds. Both valid design paths, both different end results. I like Bethesda's worlds.)

A brand new Engine provides brand new options, does it not. Those are two different sentences,it didn't mean what you took it as.

This isn't going to progress anywhere....friends? :foodndrink: lol. I don't feel like fighting anymore.

No one was fighting. You absolutely svck at discussion.

Arranging my clutter turns a house into a home. Clutter plays a large role in making Tamriel feel like a living world.

No.
Clutter is one of those things that have added verisimilitude in all elder scrolls games Ive played.
They are a welcome part of the game, one of those little things that make it feel a real world.

If you want a sterile and empty world where you feel as if youre walking around in a painting, go play mass effect.
Do not petition to bring elder scrolls down to the standard of other games, leave it where it is.
At the very top.

There must be clutter. There must be physics to clutter. Even improve it by alarming enemies if I kick it around. If it makes a noise for me, so should it for them.

If they took it out, I would say, bring back the clutter,.
Decorating my living space is one reason.

By "Extras" I mean unneeded objects that just potentially slows down the game. For example, FO(fallout) had tin cans and other useless things laying around that just increased possible chances for lag and freezing. It added more to the enviroment around you,but the game wouldn't be tarnished if you discarded some of these things.

If clutter annoys you just pick it up and sell it. Or pick it up and put it in a box or barrel or any other container or house.

Clutter objects like Tin Cans are far from useless, without clutter, everything would feel very sterile.

Yep. They are there for the realistic feel that it adds.
No thanks, I'll keep those. :)

Remove the clutter objects? They make the world feel more believable, they are the small details on the canvas that complete the image, can't remove that.

It's virtual hoarding!

Even if they don't, as long as they are practical items(yes i know this is no consolation to consolers) they can have a use modded into the game for them.

No, they're pretty useless, but it's nice that you can interact with all this useless stuff.

Fallout 3's problem wasn't clutter. It was a lack of use for some items. For other clutter and items, they were where they weren't supposed to be. Overall Clutter adds to the world and makes it feel lived in so I disagree. Also the clutter in FO and TES is handled differently. I'm sure the engine can handle it. EDIT: Fallout New Vegas helped on this by adding use for clutter other than a gun that shoots junk at enemies. No bash on that though. I missed that craftable item in NV.

One of my friends actually found a use for clutter in TES IV. He got a massive amount of it, droped it into a valley, and filled said valley up until he could walk across it no problem.

Small valley mind you, but funny all the same.

Why you asking me? Bethesda has the last decision on that. :P

jeez dude....wut the world... u need stuff liek that so the world isn't empty. take out the clutter object in fallout. take them all out. the irons the tin cans the cups the clipboards take all of it out... leave it down to the ammo and the food stuff. its really flippin boring

I hope they will not only keep the clutter, but give it adequate and realistic weights and prices, where "weight" is not the actual weight, but how easily it can be carried. So, for example, silverware spoons would make good "loot" for low-level characters, because you can carry many and they're worth money, but brooms wouldn't, because they're cumbersome and worthless. Doing this would improve realism for characters of a more thieving persuasion, who like to break in NPC's houses at night and steal everything that's worth money.

As it was in Morrowind and Oblivion, a character could easily get everything that wasn't nailed down, and end up with 18 brooms, 42 plates and 21 shovels in the inventory, just to make easy money. I'd prefer weights and prices to be more realistic :)

Fallout 3 is a post apocalyptic world, I doubt Skyrim would be as messy with tin cans scattered everywhere.

Clutter FTW. Without it, how would the world feel lived-in? Would be very bland indeed.
