(Pilot Episode for A Lost Child)
"Let's get this [censored] done, I haven't got all day!" An irritable voice spoke up into a tok box, hoping the assistant on the other end of the device was paying attention. The room grew tense with anticipation as seconds passed like minutes. "I'm sorry ma'am, perhaps you'd like to blow out my other ear drum as well?" a snarky yet calm voice returned. "Anyway, I'm doing the best I can, Tuvaa. Trying to access the c0da's records through unofficial channels takes time...and is illegal you know." The assistant began typing into a rather large spherical object adorned with runes representing letters and numbers of every tongue spoken on New Lleswer. With a wipe of his brow the assistant input the final commands, "Arkay.exe is running. Now initiating c0da data transfer to memospore filters." In the center of the room stood a glass container two Vehk's tall, surrounded by nine times nine soul gems and filled with Aetherius particles who were not to pleased with being confined in the structure; often showing Tuvaa and her assistant constant sass . "They're jumpy." Tuvaa said with a grimace wrapped around her face. "It's gotta mean this next one will work" she proclaimed confidently. "Ma'am, it appears your specimen is ready for the Jill Disruption Transfer Jump."
Viloth paced himself over to a lever on the other side of the laboratory and pulled it. As he did so, a tendril bathed in magical light dipped itself into the glass container it was placed above. "I still don't know what you're having me do. It's making me uneasy" he said under his breath. Tuvaa monitored the loving union of particles and tentacle intensely, praying that this time the experiment would work. "C'mon ya bastard, materialize before I who have struck blows with Anu's children and lived to tell the tale. I who has seen the eternal wheel and lived yet not lived!" Her chanting grew louder while a blinding light emitted from the glass vessel. "Come to me child so that I may love you! I shall leave the love goddesses essence all over your face!" she shouted as tears of joy ran down Tuvaa's cheeks. "Ew..." Viloth muttered. The tentacle writhed and whimpered until it was no more. The eighty one soul gems powering the entire project lost their glow and cracked into millions of pieces "Did it...did it work?" Tuvaa muttered.
The intense burning light dissipated, leaving in its wake a young khajiiti girl naked as the day she was born and sleeping inside the beaker. Trying to reign in her unwavering joy, Tuvaa walked over to the glass container and peered inside. "What is it?" the assistant inquired. With a big smug grin on her face, Tuvaa turned to Viloth, "A remnant of the 5th era...."
(Author's note: I may not be as cryptic in my writing style as others are when referring to c0da stories. Hope that doesn't bother readers too much.)
