Lost Follower (Xbox 360)

Post » Tue May 13, 2014 7:23 pm

I think I lost my follower/wife Aela the Huntress as I was fast traveling to and from dwemer ruins, and she's not at the companion guild nor my house

Am I [censored]? I even tried turning on the quest 'talk to companion leaders' and it only pointed to companion guild.

I think Bethesda should really implement some bug patches for all platforms, stuff like this happening is ridicilous to deal with.

it's not a bug,

Okay, if you completed the Companions quest-line (which I am sure you have if you were able to marry her), she loses her Essential Status, making her kill-able..

So, if shes not at your place of Residence, or the Mead Hall, and the "talk to the Companions for work" misc. quest doesn't point to her, She likely died on one of your adventures..

as you are on a Console, the only way to get her back is to reload an Earlier save..

this

Also, not sure how many times it has to be said, there will never be another offical patch for skyrim, ever. Bethesda literally does not care about skyrim anymore, they have gotten the money they wanted out of it and are done.

1. ALWAYS have a huge amount of saves. I literally make a new save file every time i save.

2. You cannot remarry in the game.

you can't get married again.. even if your spouse dies you are still eternally bound to them and can't remarry (that is, unless your on PC)..

When play any Elder Scrolls or Fallout Games, always make saves regularly, as you will eventually hit a point where you will wanna reload (well, except for those of us who play DiD)

EDIT: grr PKMN12, you beat me to it :(

depends, i am on a PC and have a mod that makes followers essential (and allow me to summon them if they are lost) AND have make a new save every time I save for that very reason. I would probably just go on unless it was an essential part of my character. If it was, i would restart.

well, I play on PC so i can just input a console command to revive her or to marry another NPC..

you can keep going regardless, unless a spouse was crucial to your characters RP..
or if it bothers you that badly, you can always start a new character

but, I do have some advice for you going forward:

1) Always make plenty of Saves.. and never Save over a previous save
2) never take your spouse out to adventure with you.. bad things happen

You could try what was suggested in this thread.

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1500552-how-i-found-teldryn-sero-when-he-went-missing/

I can otherwise only offer my condolences at the loss of Aela the Huntress (who I love and is my fav follower in the game) I am on the PC and would simply reload (I keep many saves) or bring her back using the console commands, but that's if I had forgotten to make her essential. I make all my followers essential.

Retrace your steps from the last time you saw her.

Also... if she was your follower, have you tried to take another follower? If you can it means she is dismissed/lost or... dead.

But... do you have Hearthfire? Maybe she is kidnapped. Its possible she returned home and got kidnapped. Hard to say though. Best way to know for sure she is dead is try and take another follower.
