Lost lunchboxes when game crashed, lousy customer service

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 9:45 pm

I'm creating an account and reposting what I sent to Bethesda's customer service since their answer was to post my problems to this forum.

So:

Fallout Shelter has been crashing on me constantly. I bought the $20 IAP, it crashed at least once or twice will trying to open a lunch box. I didn't receive any rewards as far as I can tell when that happened, but the count of lunchboxes decreased each time. I'd like a reimbursemant. Thanks.

If I don't get reimbursed and the game continues to crash as it does, I'll leave my 1-star review on iTunes store and be on my way. Big disappointment so far on the bugs in this game, really surprised that Apple let this thing go live as-is.

I am with you I lost twenty US dollars myself and that how I ended up here. My game wouldn't port over to my new IPhone 6 Plus. And i had just spend twenty bucks on the game. But no one will tell me that I will get a refund. Very sad man we spend money on there games. Support there brand. But they don't even care about us I am down for a protest

Report your problem and ask apple for a refund. You will get your money back. I already got my $21 back.

Who should I contact for account or transaction issues with Fallout Shelter?

For account, billing, and transaction issues, you have to contact the first party customer support: https://www.apple.com/support/ios/contact

Cool, thanks for the Apple customer support link. Just sent them a note, hoping they can fix at least part of the problem (lost purchases).

Are the vaults and stuff saved locally? Cause I've tried the game on an IPAD and a new phone, vaults doesn't seem tied to the account where same account is used on both devices.

One day of playing and I already saw that this game is a train wreck. I mean it's OK for casual playing but there's no way I would spend real money on it. It has way too many issues/bugs/crashes. It feels like an unfinished product that should still be in beta. And the lack of any official response to all the bug reports just sends shivers down my spine.

Follow-up: I received a note from Apple that they are refunding my $20 IAP, checked my credit card, and sure enough. So big thumbs up to Apple, there. I've played more and run into just about every bug I've seen described here. I'll wait till the next patch. Good luck, Bethesda.
