I lost lydia : V

We finished a quest and I fast traveled back to whiterun..and shes not there...come back lydia
so is she just lost or dead?

Try to go to dragonsreach and see if she's there.

Did you tell her to wait somewhere before you fast traveled? If so then she's still there.

She could be dead.

She disappeared on me last night when I went to go join the Companions. I hadn't saved in a while either so I am going to try and find her.

Bring up the console and type player.moveto 000a2c94 then hit enter.

If she's still in the game you will be right next to her.

I left Lydia waiting somewhere too long and a message popped up stating that she grew 'tired' of waiting. She appeared once again when I bought a house, though.

It happens, she can die and I've also had followers just vanish for no reason.

She'll turn up if she's still among the living. I've left a follower in a dungeon that I was forced to exit. After a while, they leave on their own, then make their way back to where you found them. Its funny when you see them walking by too.

Sometimes she can't negotiate terrain as well as I can so she gets stuck and has to find her way to me around mountains etc. If she was stuck and you FT'd she may be trying to walk back to Whiterun.

idk, I suspect she can somehow teleport, if you don't fast travel. Last night I went through a river and Lydia wouldn't get out of the water, so I walked up and down until I got fed up, I continued my travel and 30 seconds later there was a noise next to me and Lydia was standing there. creepy.

Hahahaha

Last night I was in a dungeon and somehow got turned around and I thought this enemy was heading for me from around a corner. I put an arrow right in it's face. Turns out it was Lydia.

Her: Hey, I'm on your side.

Me: Sorry, Lyds.
