I am on PS3. I read the book on the Aetherium Wars, but no quest triggered. I went on ahead to Arkngthamz and met the ghost Katria, and went all the way through and got the shard, but still no quest has shown up in my journal. I also could not find her journal. My question is, if I go the the other shard locations, will I be able to complete the quest even though it has not registered in my quest log? I do have the first shard. I just don't want to spend all the time to get the others if I can't complete the quest.

Her journal is on her corpse (encountered near the beginning).

Not sure, but I think that no journal = no quest...?

Did you not search her body? And get her special bow Zephyr?

I honestly cant remember how the quest showed up in my quest log. But i do know that her journal is not mandatory to complete the quest. But it does help some.

I searched her body and no journal. I did get the bow.

I usually get the quest to investigate a shard when I find one. Then when I find the book Atherium Wars the quest updates to have me go and investigate Arkngthaz (sp?). So maybe it hasn't given you the quest yet because you haven't found a shard?

I did get one..... Weird. I suppose it's a glitch of some sort.

Hmmm, the only thing to do would be to go back to a save prior to finding the book, go find a shard first and see if you get the quest, then go get the book. I feel for the loss of gameplay, but sometimes that's one's only alternative.
