A lot of people still playing?

Post » Tue Sep 17, 2013 6:43 pm

I haven't played Skyrim in well over a year. I have all the DLC, but haven't played any of it. I do have over 200 hours in vanilla though. I've been getting an itch to play again :) going to play all content when I start back up, including all vanilla quests + DLC. Are a lot of people still playing?

I still play lots. However when next gen comes out I fear that Skyrim will go to the a garage. I'll just be too busy with BF4, TESO and Watch Dogs.

Does it matter? This isn't like an MMO, where empty servers are a concern. All I know (and care about) is that I am still playing. In fact plan to start a new character later today.

I'm playing Skyrim since a year, and I'll continue playing it for a long time.

Oh yeahj, still playing, still loveing it, and still addicted to it. I might take a week or two break from time to time and play something else but Skyrim rarely leaves my console.

I am also still playing and enjoying Skyrim since the launch date, in a rotation with several other games. I only have 2 characters/mages, each with about 500 hours. The 1st is arch Mage and finished MQ and companions. The 2nd is also arch Mage, and is about 50% complete with Dawnguard and dragon born concurrently. Neither character has done much with civil war, thieves guild or DB. Both prefer to build all the hearthstone homes, amass a fortune and explore and adventure on their own for fun and profit with their spouses and friends. They only pursue structured quests when the mood strikes them. Not only am I still playing, but given my play style, there is a lot of content I haven't experienced, and will probably never actually "finish" the game. Same thing happened / "is happening" in Oblivion.

I'm still playing on a somewhat regular basis. I still play Oblivion and Morrowind from time to time too. Fallout 3 and New Vegas as well. And Dragon Age: Origins.

I recently played the DLCs for the first time after not having touched the game for well over a year. It was quite enjoyable I must say. :twirl: Not sure I'll keep playing though, my interest wanders and Skyrim is a game that deserves a certain investment time wise.

I was very late to the DAO party, but it is another game I am enjoying in the current rotation with Skyrim. DidNt play, NV, but playing FO3 the same way. Enjoy exploring with Dogmeat and Clover too much to pursue quests one after the other. With my approach, I doubt I would ever formally finish any Beth games...

Lot's of Skyrim recently. Oblivion, though old, is such a great game that I still play it a lot.

I can't play skyrim for less than 5 hours a day. I barely get things done in Skyrim if I play it for less than 5 hours.

I still have to play Dragonborn, and a 2nd replay of Dawnguard (only did it once) with the current iteration of my character. But mods are keeping me pretty busy :)

So yep, 50+ hours by now (in this playthought), and I've only completed about 1/4 of everything I want to do.

For you maybe, but many people are still playing Morrowind and Oblivion too... Good games never get old :)

Skyrim is still the game I play most. Still need to play Dragonborn DLC and Dawnguard as part of the Dawnguard. Iplay other games as well (lot of Fallout New Vegas at the moment) but I play Skyrim at least a couple of hours every week.

Not for me.. This "un-named" rockstar game is on my radar for tomorrow morning, but it will merely join the rotation I spoke of. The diversity will only add even more longevity to Skyrim for me, although I doubt I will ever "finish" either. Good thing it isn't important to me and provides a deep pool of on-going, concurrent gaming experiences..

No doubt skyrim will always have a relatively large fan-base, but as big titles get released, they'll slowly steal the spotlight, leaving the long-term TES fans behind, whilst the rest sort of dissipate away. Although I imagine that the pc community has much more longevity, with mods

Still playing, I do play Oblivion and Morrowind as the whim takes me and often go gambling in RDR... and shoot through the canyons on War. ( undead)

Ha! No kidding...

I am currently exploring the northern part of the map. I have never spent much time around Dawnstar. I'm continually finding all kinds of new stuff. There is a lot more of the map I've never seen. More than I realized. I previously estimated it to be around 15%. However, I suspect it's closer to 25%, if not 30%.
