Any suggestions on which ini settings should I turn down? Essentially, whenever there are a lot of NPCs running around and doing things, the game will start chugging and then eventually crash. Things aren't so bad outside of combat, and in interiors.

I have that NVConfigator program installed, but don't really know how to use it.

Also having that exterior load crashing problem, but since everyone is having that problem I guess there's no quick 'fix'.

Turn down the

Site of vision/character setting. It will make it so NPC's don't appear until you reach a certain distance.

Lots of NPCs on screen is normal for causing lag. They all have individual AI processes rather then mob AI so its harder on the CPU.

Really, theres not much you can do about it other then stop getting into big fights.
