Okay first I need to get this out there. I hated Orcs with a fiery passion in all of the other Elder Scrolls games, they were hideous to me and I simply wouldn't touch them. I thought they were uncultured barbarians that needed to crawl in a hole and die, boy was I wrong. I finally decided that I would mod Oblivion and when I installed the Oblivion Character Overhaul II. I was blown away by how attractive the Orcs looked, so I started playing as one and I got to say I was missing out on a lot. Orcs in Skyrim are great as well I just wish the blood from "berserker mode" stayed on the character longer.

But anyway you may be wandering why I posted this in the lore sub-forums, if you are here is your answer. I was wondering in the context of The Elder Scrolls series if an Orc were to have a child would that child be considered a half-orc and look similar to this?

The reason I ask this question is in regards to a character RP I plan on doing. The character's mother was an Imperial and her father was an Orc and I was wondering if she would obtain some features from her father but still look as if she was an Imperial? As far as I know there is no confirmed cases of this in the game but I didn't know if it was a lore thing that just didn't make an appearance in a game or if it is even possible. Than you guys/gals in advance anyway.

In Oblivion the Gray Prince (aka the Grand Champion of the Arena) is a Half-Orc (and half vampire). I believe that Orcish genes are more dominant than human or elf so the child would look mostly Orc but with skin tone reflecting less green if the Gray Prince is any indication. However there is a book in the games called http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Racial_Phylogeny that kind of touches on cross-breeding so take that for what you will

Also in Dungeons & Dragons half Orcs look like very tough humans with brutish features (like a very strong brow and jaw) with purplish skin so that may also be some inspiration for your view if you want it

In Elder Scrolls, children take after the mother's race with minor features from the father; difference in skintone or eyecolor and the like. With an Imperial mother, the character would be an Imperial with minor Orcish features, like longer-than-normal tusk-like lower teeth, slightly pointed ears, or slightly greenish skin.

The Grey Prince was such an ingame case, having an Orcish mother but inheriting paler skin and increased strength from his vampiric Imperial father.
