I'd love to see a Codex

NO!
1. Codex means TRUE info about a piece of lore. Unlike most other lore, TES lore is filled with bias, propaganda and lies. That makes exploring it far more interesting
2. No Codex can make justice to complexity of TES lore. Visit http://imperial-library.info/ to see how much [censored] lore there is
3. If Dev's have time to write Codex updates, then they better use it to write some more in-game books or some nice conversation with some scholar

This. A Codex only works in a game that doesn't have real lore so they just include a little fact book to make the game seem deeper than it is. I'd much rather they take the time, money, and energy and add substantial things to the game.

I would like a Bestiary, with little concept art sketches.

I'm starting to think that instead of a full blown codex, a bestiary would suffice. I must have spent 20-30 hours of gameplay looking for/reading books, and it's one of my favorite aspects. I'd only want a beastiary though if there's more than the 2 dozen kinds of monsters that were available in Oblivion.

No, you should just have to buy bestiary's and encyclopedias of herbs for your alchemy, and then take them with you and read them if you need help. It's about time they had a gameplay reason for the existence of books and bookstores.
