I love the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves guild

Post » Sat Sep 24, 2011 11:57 am

In Oblivion I played my first 3 characters for around 60-70 hours a piece. In each character I would try so hard to do the fighters guild and the main quest, but it was almost like trying to eat my vegetable when there was a nice juicy steak on my plate (The Dark Brotherhood). So in those first 3 characters I managed to beat the Mage's, Thieve's, and Dark Brotherhood questlines while barely even starting the MQ. On a recent character I finally pushed through the main quest.

Did anyone else have this problem? I really want to avoid overplaying those quest-lines, to keep them fresh, and to experience the other sides of the game in Skyrim. Any advice?

Well, with the radiant AI, the more questionable choices you make, the more you'll be offered those kinds of quests.

You can also RP that you are an evil character infiltrating the other guilds, only doing the quests so you can take control and run the guild into the ground. You can steal from them and maybe murder a few members in their sleep.

I hope it works like that.

And I've never really RP'd like that before, but that actually sounds fun. I really think I am going to try that. Thanks!

I'm more of a Jack-of-all-Trades. As longs as I can play any quest anyone else can I'll be fine. If not, I'm probably gonna play a few dozen times anyway so no big deal. But I did enjoy the Dark Brotherhood and Theives Guild more than the others.

Ah I Stole from one of thieves guild member and I got pay 1000 gold or leave the guild,
I was really poor then so I was like "no sh!t" I wana house.
So he "accidentely" died and text came "Your killing has been observed by forces unknown...."

This basically. The world is what you make of it - your motives are your own.
