Ok, I love the game (50+ hours) and just started Companions

Whoever wrote this questline should be canned.

It is horrible. Simplistic. Incredibly short. Scenes that could be filled with information, lore and drama are instead: go here, do this, thanks; with barely any explanation or depth.

I love the game overall and have already svcked out more hours than I get from most and know I have 100+ more because I have yet to visit 4 of the holds and still have most of the MQ, DB, TG, and other quests to do.

But, I had to post here, as I have now done 5-6 of the "quests" and they are anemic and sad. Heck, I've had random 'dungeon' quests that are more epic than this so far.

I wonder who wrote it and why they did such a half-***ed job????

Have to agree. I felt rather underwhelmed during, and after completing the Companions questlines. The Mages guild was no better, really. Still fun, but lacking an interesting story.

I could honestly write a better questline (I couldn't program it to save my life) but I couldn't write the steps/dialogue and drama twists.... I mean, good lord. I've DM'd tabletop RPGs for years and have watched my daughter who's a tween come up with a better plotline... sheesh.

For quests they all need to get into small groups and brainstorm and think out of the box.

personally i thought all the guilds were far too short and lacking of any real fun missions such as the mansion party killing mission in oblivion. it all felt too serious and stale

They devs did a good job on some of the side quests and landscape but they kinda screwed up on the beginning and a few of the main quests imo. The mage school was kinda short, same with companions and the story wasn't that great but not too bad either. The civil war questline was really repetitive, half of the missions were taking out forts and killing men and it got old fast. I think the theives guild questline is the best I've played so far aside from the main questline.

I've yet to try the dark brotherhood questline yet though.
