LOVE the soundtrack, is FO4 still composed by Inon Zur?

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 11:00 am

One of the great things that happened during the E3 FO4 presentation was

that dark melancholic rendition of the Fallout theme....Everything about it just feels.....right.

Melancholic at first, but with a feel of hope. Its so beautiful!!

Anyone knows if they brought back Inon Zur to compose for FO4?
Or is it done by Jeremy Soule?

Anyway someone mixed a FO4 Main Theme from the Fallout 4 trailer and its really very good.

Can't wait to get my hands on the full soundtrack when it releases tho!

Not sure if its Inon Zur, but it sure sounds like it. And from the sound its not Jeremy Souls style imo. Plus Inon Zur has done the music for all the Fallout games, wouldn't be right to cut him out of it. Anyway the music so far is amazing. I listen to that soundtrack every day now.

It's Inon Zur.

Fantastic piece of the OST, by the way.

Personally I got goosebumps at the bombastic theme used in the PA combat scene in the xbox presentation. Hopefully a theme that appears in game

as for composer, I havent heard.

I'm looking very forward to the F4 Soundtrack, but I was hoping that we would see a 4 disc special edition, like Beth did for Skyrim. I'm assuming there isn't one or we would have heard about it by now... maybe. I'm hoping to be proved wrong.

Atom bomb baby, little atom bomb
I want her in my wigwam
She's just the way I want her to be
A million times hotter than TNT

*Sigh* Come on November!

I love the theme for FO4 by Inon Zur.

Strangely though my fave piece of it was actually the Fallout 4 Logo flickering into life right at the end. The roar of the audience in the background almost mask the sound of the Logo kicking into life. Love it!@

I remember when the reveal trailer emerged and it looked awful (to me). A large part of that was due to Zur's tired hero epic that rattled on top of it. So yeah, among everything else I had in mind, even the soundtrack was left unimproved.

It sounds completely unfit for the series in my ear. No dread, no mystery, just cliched and largely boring fantasy-esque orchestral pieces that would no doubt sound fine over a different game but don't do much justice here.

Yeah, Inon Zur's style is definitely a bit of a mismatch for the series.

I wish they'd have hired Mark Morgan to make the soundtrack.

That song is on repeat in my head. Has been since E3.... I thought making it my alarm clock ringtone would help but it's just made it worse >.<

I found the music composed by Inon very fitting and enjoyable. Everyone has their own tastes I suppose, for those who found it unsatisfactory.

I thought the music for Fallout 3 was completely forgettable. After a few hours I turned it off and put on Galaxy News Radio. After a few hours of that, I turned that off too. After that, I just listened to the ambient sounds. I had a much better experience from then on.

Big fan of Inon Zur's work, he's really good at capturing the atmosphere of the setting imo. Loved how subtle FO3's ambient soundtrack was. Of course, with music there's no accounting for taste, everyone will like different things.

I personally prefer the theme of Fallout 1 and Fallout 2's soundtracks. They were dark and depressing. It fit the world perfectly and is one of the main reasons I believe Fallout 1 had incredible atmosphere.

Still enjoyed Inon's work in Fallout 3 and DA:O, though. So I am optemistic for this title's track.
