I mean, seriously. http://www.comicsalliance.com/2010/11/16/children-draw-h-p-lovecraft-cthulhu/. <_<

These lucky little bastards get to paint the risings of Great Cthulhu. Because apparently school is only allowed to become awesome when you've already left.

That's awesome, and makes me wish I went there when I was younger.

Yeah, I noticed that. Pete seems to be a little too enthusiastic there.

I saw this on the other forum, and I still think it's just about the coolest thing ever.
Also, sounds like something I'd do as a child. I was a warped little monkey even then. Muahaha.
That teacher deserves a pat on the back. (Preferably not courtesy of a Great Old One. >.>)

If you think Pete is creepy, you should read some of the little stories I wrote at his age. >.>
He does seem pretty invested in the subject matter, though, it is true.

Chloe was pretty creative. Pete's drawings are disturbing, like he's seen these beings in the flesh to give such detail...

Kids adapting to the horrors from beyond man's limit of recognition? That will foil the Elder Ones' plans, surely...

To be frank, I don't even recognize some of the creatures he drew. One of them is obviously Cthulhu, and the little congregation on the left seems to be comprised of ghouls, but that thing on the right baffles me. A humanly proportioned Gug?

Oh no...NO! The cults are now operating in the open! They are infesting the minds of our children (especially Pete), our final generation! The stars are aligned, the Old Ones awaken! Run, RUN! NONE WILL SURVIIIIIIIIIIIIVE! :ahhh:

It has more pictures, and they're categorized. Also, a lot of the Cthulhu pictures are quite funny and good, especially the ones drawn by Caramell Dansen and Amanda.

Any who, the drawings are supposed to be either the Great Race of Yith, Elder Things, Shoggoths, and Cthulhu

Gah. How'd Lovecraft put it?

"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."

Caramelldansen Cthulhu is FAAAAAR, ladies and gentlemen.

Did you ever try? You can get away with quite a lot in art classes. I had friends who drew nvdes and got some decent marks, and I personally painted rather a insensitive picture of a recent terrorist attack. Just to see if I could. I got away with it, even if nobody was particularly impressed by the subject matter.
