skyrim is my first bethesda game and I am in love. It's my new favorite game, and even with all the glitches and bugs, I am now in love with Bethesda. What I love about skyrim is the amazing sense of immersion and exploration you get when you wandering the gorgeous landscapes, discovering exciting places and secrets, and playing the game any way you want. Basically, I love the freedom. Based from this, will I like the fallout series? I'm not sure how similar they are to elder scrolls games but it's my understanding that the fallout games offer even more freedom. What I didn't like about skyrim, is that I didn't feel like my decisions made any impact on my experience or on the world. And it's my understanding that "impact of your decision" is sort of the main "hook" of the fallout series. Strange thing is, I used to hate this type of game mechanic in games. I didn't enjoy it in Mass Effect 2. Don't get me wrong, it was a great game, but I just didn't appreciate that type of game mechanic at the time. I'm a very indecisive person (in real life, and in gaming) so whenever I make a decision, I feel extremely paranoid about what might happen. This is mostly what hindered me from getting a bethesda game so far, but I was extremely intrigued by all of the reviews and gameplay videos for skyrim, that I had to buy it. And I'm extremely glad I did. So, do you think I would like the fallout games? If so, which one should I get first? I've heard that fallout 3 is the best one but ive heard that new vegas is good too, it's just different than the other games. What do you think?
