This is super minor but a little thing that I really liked. With lover's embrace, at first my lover wold wake up in the bed with me and get up from it but they no longer do. Anyone have any clue what's up?

I never see them either...just get this little disembodied voice saying something creepy about the night before and a free buff the next morning.

*and my current companion is always standing there right by the bed when I wake, must've been there all night watching us

Seems random to me. Might have something to do with their distance from you when you bed down or the z-axis.

There's two explanations...

Seems there's a glitch if you dismiss them at some point (so it seemed when it happened to me); or

Your lover got the 'wombat perk'....wombats eat roots and leaves.

So far I've only romanced Danse and Piper, and the one time I went to sleep with Piper around, I woke up to her laying in the bed and groggily getting up. Danse, however...I bet his armor prevents him from doing that in the game itself. Otherwise, he should be on the bed with his BoS uniform on at least.

I removed Danse's armor and he gets up the same way as other people like Piper and MacCready. It'd be nice if we could also lay down though, I go to sleep but I always standing at the bed while the LI sleeping on the bed.

It's usually depending on the space around the bed. If there is something blocking the bed, the LI will just stand next to the bed instead of waking up.

^This. Piper will give me a "Wakey, wakey" every time in the Red Rocket, but she's only physically in bed about 75% of the time. And once at Spectacle Isle, I got nothing at all from Piper, just a normal Well Rested bonus. I waited until Piper wandered past, and slept again for the Lover's Embrace.

(On another topic, why doesn't the Pip Boy show the companion's location in the minimap? That seems like it would be handy. FONV added that after a bit, IIRC.

I must have spent ten minutes looking for Piper on the island that morning, wondering what had gone wrong with the sleep situation. But hey, at least I was well rested!)

If the game gives you the opportunity to romance several characters, why not? And boosted experience is great to have from time to time.

That's pretty insulting, no one would be desperate enough to touch Preston.

Ok I realize I'm the only one that has romanced Preston and continue to do so for the XP boost. No one else is appealing enough to me to romance except maybe Cait, but maybe later. For now, Preston and I are treking the entire map. Sometimes we stop in a shack during a crazy green rad storm and he will cook if there is a stove and we will push the dead bodies to the side and get all cuddly and he will say "That was nice." But he's usually wandering around when I wake up. Not very romantic.

So if you were in this situation would you really want to get romantic with someone after exploring in the wastelands all day, not able to shower, staying fully dressed in your dirty, sweaty uniform all while laying on some used and stanky mattress with a decapitated body nearby?

Actually, it's amazingly romantic! Why though? I must be completely mental. 馃槒
