Low FPS with gtx670

Post » Tue Jul 17, 2012 8:02 am

Hi all,
I just bought a msi gtx670, and the problem that ingame in crysis in dx11 ultra 2 I find it hard to exceed the 50fps? while this card should run it easy 60pfs constant. Is anybody else to the same symptom?
I try all the latest drivers 3xx series, and anything done.
Ideas??

my cpu: Q6600 OC 2.6GHz
4GB DDR2 800
Velociraptor 300GB raid0
win7 x64
msi gtx 670 oc (actualy driver: 304.79)

Your rather old CPU and Memory might be holding the card back. There's just not enough data going to the card to get 60FPS.
Remember that your computer is as fast as its slowest component.

actually 1920/1080
But even in 1680/1050 is not much better
I see all over the bench which is between 60 and 75 pfs, so why am I so low?

This is actually my little q6600 which is too low

I would prefer to buy a Intel Core i5 2500-k. It's not so expensive and he has much power. My old i7-920 @ 2,80 GHz is still working fine while my GTX 560 TI is working like a bich.

I get in the Singleplayer like 60-70 Fps, with SSD.

I7 2500k? WTF?
Guess you mean i5 2500k or i7 2600k. They both have the same performance in games but the i5 Is cheaper.
