There should be a lifetime membership WHY what wasn't in the poll is beyond me...

Heh, I'm a Lifer for LotRO. I'm sure they wish they never came up with that idea, but I'm enjoying it.

15 bucks...

2 hours of working minimum wage

1 hour of decent job

Half of a feilatio

Mowing a small yard

Selling a random item on Ebay

Smoke 2 packs less that month

Drink 2 CHEAP 6-packs less

Drink 1 decent 6-pack less

Eat out one less time

Go to starbucks 2 less times

etc

Plenty of ways to come up with 15 bucks...

Bad poll imo. I think 15/mo is completely realistic, so obviously I say no to lowering it.

They already have a loyalty system... you just have to subscribe up front. I'll sub for multiple months making it cheaper.

I bought 2 physical collectors as well 1 for me and my brother also I think the molag bol statues would be a bad ass model to have in a D&D/pathfinder campaign a 12 inch statue vs our 30 mm figurines lol.

And look, folks, I'm almost positive there will be game cards for ESO. $15/month is not that hard to make happen.

How about we wait until they release the yearly plans, 6 month plans, and 3 month plans.

Well from what I've experienced over the last few beta weekends, $15 is more than reasonable for the quality of content provided. The sub fee comes out to about 50 cents per day. That's not excessive. Its just isn't.

As far as I'm concerned, the only loyalty program I want in place is to receive some in-game items only available to people who have subbed for 'X' months. I want that revenue stream flowing nice and steady to the developers so that they can continue to provide a high quality gaming experience.

EDIT:

As a side note, can someone please explain why $15 a month is an insurmountable obstacle, but paying a lump sum up front to save $2-3 a month is so much more affordable? I'm just curious is all.

What, just about every game offers you a discount if you pay three or six months in advance? Why is this silly?

I was paying 15 a month back in 2001 while playing DAoC.

The inflation in meantime raised both prices and wages a good 40%... but the subscription price is STILL only 15 a month.

Needless to say, i have absolutely no problems paying that sum today.

Where is the "Add more of a fee" option? Maybe I would like to show more support towards the Devs and keep Great content being produced!!

$20...

$25...

$30...

Really people belly aching on a monthly fee is getting old... if raising the price a bit would flush out the F2P wanters and Doomcallers.... I would gladly pay it.

For me the monthly cost is less of an issue then the initial price. Given the subscription fee, I feel that 60$ is a bit much.

When i bought dishonored, it lasted me for about a month, and i paid the same $60 for it.

Only difference is, with TESO after the first month i can get another month of gameplay for $15 instead of having to buy another game for the full price.

Lower than 50 cents per day?

Why? That's really really really cheap and great value for such long lasting entertainment.

And....they have created what seems to be a great game, and finally a viable alternative to WoW style kiddie games. They deserve to be paid well!

What? 50 Cents a Day?!? So, our choice becomes a cup of coffee each day; ESO; or saving some starving child that we've never met, are not responsible for them being here, in a country we have never been to and probably never will visit? Decisions decisions...

They better not, I suspect Zenimax pumped Skyrim money in this... so I want ESO to cash big for the next TES ;)
