Alice Swift - FoA RepUlysses
"You speak the truth, Lobotomite... history stands behind your word. The Brotherhood can learn from this if they are willing, but the Bull... they survive only because of war, and that is something too powerful to change... would have to change their whole ideology... would destroy them just as much as they will be destroyed when war is no longer possible."
OOC: Did you take a "Ulysses 101" class? Because you make a PERFECT Ulysses, Tycho!!
"Destroy cottonwood cove then, I want no way for outsiders to gain access to the Fort"
The Followers are building a hospital there.
"The Followers are fine with only being a river away from the Legion?" If the Legion spot any possible way that you are trying to acess the fort then the Followers nearby shall be crucified or enslaved, realise this."
Alice had sat by quietly, just following the conversation. Now, she felt it was time to respond.
"Kruser, why are you so determined to turn everything into a war situation? We are simply establishing a clinic for the good of the Mojave. We are at peace and you still talk as if the war is still ongoing," she ask, exasperated by the Frumentarii's war-like nature. Then she sat up straight. With fire in her eyes, she looked at Kruser. "We will stay clear of the Fort, but make no mistake, should you ever threaten us again, we won't take it lightly. The Followers are pacifists and try to do good, but we CAN and WILL defend ourselves if need be," she said.
Head Paladin Ben Stone - Brotherhood of Steel
"No. We will get by on our own."
Head Paladin Ben Stone - Brotherhood of Steel
"We are prepared to extend an olive branch toward the powers in the Mojave. We won't do anything to harm HELIOS One as long as we are able to maintain possession of it. That is all we ask?
"Paladin Stone, it's good to see you here," Alice greeted the new Brotherhood arrival. "I pointed out to your colleague that the Followers have information that they would like to discuss with you. However, it seems that you make it clear that you don't want to deal with anyone and still remain secluded. Don't you think it's time to change your ways? To come out of hiding and work with us all for the greater good of the people?" She asked softly. "At least you are taking the first steps and may I say that the Followers will gladly reach out for that Olive Branch," she added with a smile.
The Lobotomite - Ambassador of Black Mountain
"Humanity has already survived the worst catastrophe in its brief existence. Humanity must now not only survive, but thrive as well and the Legion will not accomplish this in the way it has so far excelled at."
*He glances briefly at Ulysses*
"They say war never changes, but men do through the roads they walk. The Bull must change or it will inevitably fall as so many nations before have. War is never a good long term solution, learn something from the empire Caesar(pronounces it Kaisar) based his Legion off of and focus more on the other areas of a developing nation."
"Hear, hear, now this is the first sensible statement I've heard spoken during this convention. Humanity is strong and don't you think we owe all those brave people, who have survived on nothing but hope? We, who are able to evoke change, who are in positions of power, who can rally the people. They look up to us, they need someone to follow, else the conditions will remain the same for the next 200 years." Alice looked around the room. "Isn't that why we are here? Why we are discussing the state of the Mojave? We are not just here to strike deals with each other, or exchange caps for guns, but we are here to improve the living conditions for all," she added with enthusiasm.
James carbone - NCR
You! should think Logically, how are you gonna get those troops over here if you try will bomb, shoot, stab and blow up every single one that even attempts to cross that river. You Legate porbably won't even get to reach the river....
and with the Follower hospital at Cottonwood any troops injured can quickly be healed and sent back into action
Alice looked at Carbone with an astounded look. "James, what do you mean by "sent back into action"? You also sound like you are still waging a war. This is not the intention I had, when I mentioned to build a clinic at Cottonwood. Maybe it's time to re-think that position and look for a suitable building else where. The Followers are not interested in continuing your war, or anyone else's for that matter. We just want to provide care for the people of the Mojave. So, I think we shall look towards Nipton to establish the Southern Mojave Clinic," she said and crossed her arms. "This move might also cease your bickering with the Legion over Cottonwood. Really, grown man fighting like children over a toy. Didn't anyone teach you two how to share?" she added with a huff.
"Have you seen Arizona? Have you seen our armies? We have a whole state that is ours. You have a small town in the Mojave, do the math".
Alice raised her eyebrows. "If you boast such a number in Arizona, then what is your interest in the Mojave?" she wondered.
Then she looked at the newcomer of the White Glove Society and acknowledged Cj with a nod. "Good to see someone else decided to join the Convention. I just hope you are not as war-minded as some others here," she said with an exasperated smile and a shrug.
