The Lobotomite - Ambassador of Black Mountain

*Thus far being content with his acquisition of Quarry Junction Lobo was happy to simply sit back and watch the rest of the proceedings, but Kruser's statement about Cottonwood prompted a response.*

"I will remind you Kruser that there is still a squad of highly trained Nightkin in Arizona who I understand have been a great help to the Legion. If you continue making rash and aggressive actions against the United Mojave I will have a message sent to them from Black Mountain. If you forcefully take Cottonwood Cove, you will be declaring war upon the United Mojave. A squad of Nightkin can do a lot of damage that far into your territory.

I do not say this as a threat, but merely as a guarantee. These meetings are meant to be civil, a way to make peace between all of us. Wars are expensive, in material and in lives, taking Cottonwood Cove will be far more expensive for you then negotiating for it."

Not yet, we might be able to convince the Legion not to commit suicide.

I'm agreeing with him, also I don't want to close all our options, and by "our" I mean the Boomers.

Really?
Still though there would only be a few guards and I'm sure if one was acting weird they'd be easily spotted.

James carbone - NCR

Major Connors-Boomers

We would also bomb Vegas without question or the NCR, thats how our policy works, and you won't infiltrate us again we were just careless before. We've already caught 5 legion spies and used them to ferret out 8 more.
Come on! Do it! I want to see how far you'll go!

I should point out back in NCR we have Anti-air guns installed in the Major cites, this was set up against enclave vetibird attacks back in the 2250's but could be easily used against boomers, Not threating you or anything just point that fact out.

''Excellent, but unless there is room for 5 heavily armed guards in the Vertibird, im taking the road. You have made it clear that my associates back west dont trust me, and in that case, i dont trust them.''

I can fit three but don't worry you will also have me and my gaurd protecting you, although i doudt anything will happen, espically in the capital.

Yes but I am sorry to say but the Legion is on the wrong end of that knife.

Well that is a difficult way to make allies.

That we can agree on Legion, but in the words of some vegas family: "Its just bussines"
We wouldn't bomb if our bomber was under serious threat, but we would probably destroy another target instead.

Both of you: It's just our policy. We are equally apathetic for either of you.

Senior Paladin Garret Hartley - Brotherhood of Steel

Despite the goading of the gathered savages he composes himself and lowers his weapon. He leaves the casino unable to fulfill his duty to the Brotherhood.

ooc: Legion Frumentarii would be-able to diguise himself as a boomer BUT only in the short term that would work, wearing a helmet and staying away from people you could porbably fool them for a few hours thinking your just another Boomer BUT when you spoke to one of them or when they got a look at your face they would recgonise you are not one of them and attack.

Sorry to say this, but we don't need allies. All we need is to be to powerful or useful to be destroyed. We were completely self-sufficient and can go back again. Technically we don't need anybody.

Then he can so I can arrest him and try him for murder, kidnapping, and slavery.

Oh and many of my now well trained soldiers lost people when the Legion attacked Novac. They will fight like a dozen men for vengeance.

You seriously want your old raiding camp so badly you'll go as far as to put the Legion on the road to destruction? What kind of horrible tactician are you?

''Its not the Gun Runners i fear the most, its NCR. Look is supplied to the Legion cause we needed to expand, and the Legion had a good offer, its NCR fault that we lost much of our profits when they left, but its thanks to NCR that we are as far as we are today. But i doubt the politicians back home would accept someone that even talked to a Legionery friendly, coming back home to a meeting with those that decide the fate of the NCR military by giving them the guns and ammo they need? They would probably think i have taken the Legions side and put a assassin on me. Bear in mind James, if anything happens to me, i dont want the Gun Runners energy weapon deal to fall into criminal hands once again, so if you could atleast mention to the guys back home that we are gonna produce energy weapons too, then they might too. Just make sure it happens, and i will travel with you in your Vertibird. But i will take 3 guards as you said there was room for.''

Yes I do.

Have you not heard the deals I have made?

The NCR's Ranger, soldiers, and artillery will be there, Black Mountain will have men there, I'm going to try and get Securitrons there, the Great Khans will be there and that will be one of my two main bases.

Face it you've already lost.

Oh and about your Legate, I doubt he can survive a grenade launcher blast to the chest which is what would happen if he showed up and refused surrender which is almost definant.

Raynor looked down in shame.

The Lobotomite - Ambassador of Black Mountain

"Arizona has prospered, but if you continue down this path then Flagstaff will suffer. The Battle Cattle and the Two Headed Bear have both tested themselves against the Courier's army of securitrons, but now you face the might of that and the entire Mojave. The Boomer's may be resistant to a United Mojave, but they will be even more resistant against the Battle Cattle taking control so your soldiers will bombed miles from the Mojave; 4 individuals clad in Power Armour decimated much of your forces at Hoover Dam, how will the Battle Cattle fare against a couple dozen Brotherhood Paladins; and none in the Mojave have seen the unified might of a company of Nightkin working as one."

*Calms down a bit and speaks in a slow monotone.*
"The Bull will not survive this fight frumentarii, it will break its back against the Mojave for the third, and last, time"

OCC: For those who don't know: Flagstaff is the capital of the Legion and is in Arizona.

"Your words are wise, Nightkin."

*Kruser then opens his eyes

"You have suffered so greatly, suffered so much abuse from humans and yet you strive for peace? The Bull is humanity's best chance for survival, do you not see this"?

*Kruser closes his eyes again and meditates on all that has transpired.

I Can promise nothing wiil happen to you, the Gun runners back west and most of Parliment wants to link back up with everyone left out here from the Nukes despite working the for the Legion you have been doing a good job, better that the other guy who use to run this place.

Plus you control the Mojave branch, the other GR bosses only control NCR and other states, wash for example YOU control Mojave they won't kill you as long as we need weapons in mojave, which with the legion war about to start could be for long time.

You! should think Logically, how are you gonna get those troops over here if you try will bomb, shoot, stab and blow up every single one that even attempts to cross that river. You Legate porbably won't even get to reach the river....

and with the Follower hospital at Cottonwood any troops injured can quickly be healed and sent back into action

Raynor looks worried, but replies.
''Course it would be safer damn it, but i cant leave the Gun Runners. Business doesnt come without risk, and if i die, someone else will take my place. As much as i would like to stay, i have to continue my business back west. Believe me, if i would take the Gun Runners apart here in the Mojave and start a new company altogether, i can be framed for both being a traitor and for stealing the Gun Runner schematics and secrets, plus not everyone in the Mojave branch would want to break away from the original Gun Runners, so it would negatively affect the United Mojave armies weapon supply, along with all the minor towns we already have set deals with. I cant.''

Head Paladin Ben Stone - Brotherhood of Steel

Some time after Hartley departs another power armored member of the brotherhood appears flanked by a pair of knight brothers. He is also followed closely by a rather mousy scribe who stands behind the paladin as he takes a seat. The hulking figure folds his his hands as he prepares to speak.

"I regretfully inform this congregation that Senior Paladin Hartley has suffered a nervous breakdown and has been deemed unfit to return. It's a shame that such a promising young paladin was broken by your aggressive strong arm tactics. Your tactics won't work on me as I have been sent here to ensure something gets done and I won't leave until l it is accomplished."

The paladin then shakes his head sadly, "All the Brotherhood has ever done is try to protect humanity from itself so as not to cause another great war. We will continue to take all technology until such a time when humanity is not in danger of trying to build more dangerous weapons. Which will never happen by the way."
