The Lucky 38 Convention
Hosted by: The Courier Himself

Praise for the Nellis Convention:

May I just say that this is the most fun I had on a forum in a LONG TIME? I love it!
Yeah this [censored] really is something special Gingy, thanx for putting it together bro.

The link to the last Convention: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1367661-the-nellis-convention-part-two/

It has been four months since the Nellis Convention, and the Mojave has taken a massive step forward on its way to becoming a truly great nation. The Courier has invited the representatives on the Mojave to his own facility, the Lucky 38. Let the games begin! :gun:

Changes Since Last Convention:

-Each settlement now has recognized borders and there are now several Mojave states. The Mojave itself is now known as the "United Mojave States".
-The Legion left the Mojave and recovered most of its former strength back in Arizona and New Mexico.
-Little is known about post-Hoover Dam II NCR, but rumor has it that the Mojave NCR is a faint shadow of its former self.
-The Strip is still cut-off from Freeside and Westside, but there is now a massive wall around the entirety of New Vegas.
-There is now a United Mojave Army.
-Freeside, Westside, and The Followers of the Apocalypse, have worked together to improve the quality of life in New Vegas.
-The Omertas now have a small, but popular Casino in Freeside.
-The Casinos of The Strip have become more wealthy due to the Courier backing off of their profits.
-
Spoiler
The NCR is still largely cut off from the Mojave due to the radioactive mess on the Long 15. The Legion have found ways around it, though.
-South Vegas has been renovated as part of Westside.
-Vault 34 is now a Followers Hospital.
-Vault 3, for the time being, is a stash for securitrons for protecting the newly-renovated South Vegas.
-The NCRCF has been renovated to its original purpose by Primm.
-The Gun Runners have a permanent deal going on with the United Mojave Army, and business is now better than ever.
-The Boomers and Nightkin are elite branches of the United Mojave Army.
-The Gun Runners have installed relations with the Legion.
-The Gun Runners have installed relations with Primm.
-There are now a few nightkin helping the Legion restore its' defenses.
-The Great Khans have pursued their list of murderers that took place in Bitter Springs.
-The Great Khans have installed Diplomatic relations with the Chairmen, Primm, the Kings, the Boomers, and the Followers of the Apocalypse.

The Courier-New Vegas

*The Courier enters the room and heads upstairs to the V.I.P Lounge where there is a very large table set up. Instead of couches, there are simply chairs. He sits down in the chair at the end. Alas, it is empty. He pulls out a stack of papers, and reads them, before going to the bar and asking the Mr. Handy for a drink. He sits down with a nice bottle of scotch, and waits for the other ambassadors.*

OOC: Most likely done for the night. Ignore Nellis part three, it was an accidental post, and I decided to discard it.

OOC: Okay, it just seems that everybody's almost done by the time I start.

Also I have an Idea for a convention: It's an NCR ending, but everything that can possibly go wrong for them has-
The Kings attacked Freeside
The Fiends took McCarren
Black Mountain is raiding caravans,
The Omertas and White Gloves joined Ceaser and tried to take over the Strip
The BOS have Hardin in charge and captured Helios One
The Powder Gangers are still out there
The Great Khans tried to join Ceasar
NCR knows what the Crimson Caravan and Van Graffs have been doing
Followers try sabatoge like in the White Wash
Both the Enclave and even the Boomers fought against them
All the small towns find some way to screw them over.

I just think it would be interesting to see how everyone would try to solve thier problems after they all tried thier hardest to piss off the new ruling faction. What do you think?

OOC: I think that you can but only for Dead Money and Honest Hearts. Simply because those have been out for either over a year or close to a year. So at this point they aren't really 'spoilers'. That you involved Ulysses and no one cared. :/

EDIT: OOC: Also shouldn't The Khan's trade agreement with the Chairmen, Primm, The Boomers, The Kings, and Follows be mentioned? Or at the very least our pursuit of the Bittersprings War Criminals?

*Mr. Kent walks in to the room, he feels a little bit more comfortable with the meeting then last time. He is in a pleasant mood due to the short walk and the improvements made for Westside and the rest of outer vegas. He is wearing a new black suit.

"Hello everyone, it's good to be early this time, I hope we can make as much progress here as we did at Nellis."

*He then takes a seat at his spot on the table

OOC: I have an idea, bring in the New Caaninites as a faction, we can say they build another city in central Utah and are looking to make some new friends (or enemies)

Imam the 2nd-The Khans

*Walking into the Lucky 38 Imam looks around with great wonder.*

"Hello everyone, glad to see I have managed to once again show up early. Its a pleasure to see the Boomers again, and of course who can forget Westside?"

OOC: A'right that'll do it for tonight.

OoC: Sorry guys, visiting relatives who had very bad internet until I hooked up a new system for them. I am sick and haven't been doing much so now that I have internet I can post a lot more often. And sorry for missing two whole threads.

Jackson Samuel-
*Samuel walks in and sits down.*
Good evening. I am sorry but my health has been an issue ever since I had to leave before the Nellis Convention really got started (actually true). However I have improved and I have a few things I wish to deal with.
First thing is, since I have heard that there are set states and bondaries what is in my territory? And what is this Mojave Army I have been hearing so much about?

Oh and I would like to ask the Boomers if they would like to form an alliance. My region suffers greatly from gang activity and an organization like the Boomers could help greatly in exchange for trade, agriculture, and a lot of money.

I suppose we should help others now that we are technically all on the same side. But what about these gangs? Would our Boomers be under threat,? And what of accomadation? I doubt the others would appreciate sharing homes with. . . outsiders.

Well the gangs are decently armed but nothing compared to what I have heard of the Boomers. They are too much for any forces I can make myself though, which isn't saying much.

The Boomers would not be under threat, they are just thugs, remnants of once powerful gangs back in California that headed east to try and regain strength but have failed. They are rabid dogs waiting to be put down by ones like the Boomers.

And the accomadations would be prestigious.
We have developed many farming styles that will greatly benefit anybody who eats food, so anybody except for a robot, we can also trade with outsiders for the Boomers buying them then giving them to you for no charge, just tell us what you need.

And you wouldn't need to share your homes, just send a handful of people to take care of these vermin. In return we will open our arms up to you.

In fact there is the REPCONN Facility up the road from Novac that is isolated and contain technology that would greatly interest the Boomers such as rockets that could be used as weapons or someday bring somebody into space.

All of this and a strong partnership would strengthen my people and your own.

And I would also like to extend a similar offer to the Great Khans.
I know your people are well armed and always looking to expand your business and power.

I happen to have an abandon NCR Ranger base just up the road from Novac, Ranger Station Charlie, that would be a perfect location for the Great Khans to open up a supply depot if they were to open a store in Novac.

In return for no taxes on any of your products, this location, and the same farming technics I have offered to the Boomers I would like you to help Novac, and possibilty the Boomers, guard this region and help it prosper.

The three of us united would be a mighty alliance that could potentially become a superpower throughout the Mojave.

The Lobotomite - Ambassador of Black Mountain

*Lobo crouches again through a set of small human doors into a place of nostalgia. As he looks around the old casino he briefly has a flash of remembrance about a life he had almost forgotten, but then it is gone as he sees the few representatives who have arrived.*

*He walks to the table holding his hands out in front of him.*
"I have left my weapon outside these doors in a gesture of peace that I hope all of the other ambassadors will abide by."

*He sits down comfortably in a small couch that could have seated two humans.*
"Gentlemen, I am glad that we could reconvene this convention in a place closer to home. I have an important proposition, but I will wait until more arrive before I proceed. I am also intrigued to hear of how well my kin have served in their tasks."

Hello Lobotomite, how are things for my neighbor at Black Mountain?
I have a business proposition for you.

Does Black Mountain have agriculture?

If not I have plenty of people who want work and could help you change that.

In exchange for assistance in the state of an emergency here in Novac I would like to offer you one of the only things my people have.

The Lobotomite - Ambassador of Black Mountain

Greetings Mr. Samuel, things have been going very well for Black Mountain since the last convention. We have made our stretch of the Long 15 safe and with the caps and materials sent from Primm, we have set up the beginnings of a trading post at the base of the mountain.

To answer your question, we do not have any sort of agriculture at this time and we would be glad to make this exchange with the town of Novac.

Excellent.
I believe luck is finally going in my town's favor. Appropriate that this happens at a meeting in an ancient casino.

I will send the workers by the end of the week. They are respectful and if they break and rule or law you have every right to punish them in the way the citizens of Black Mountain are punished.

Old Lady Gisbon at the Gibson Scrapyard has recently passed and we're using the materials to construct buildings in between Novac and Gibson's. When that is cleared out I think it would be an appropriate home for nightkin to trade and protect the town.

James carbone- NCR

*James enteres the roomand sits down.*

"Hello everyone since the last convention a dozen or so NCR cizitens who were trapped within the mojave have moved in and restarted the town of Niption. they are doing well and have asked me to speak for any business deals you may wish to do with the town."

"Also we have discovered the scoure of radation at searclight, inside the fire station there are two fire trucks that before the war were carrying dangerous radativace waste until the legion broke in and opened them, killing them in the process."

*James turns and faces Lobobmite"

" I was wondering is we could make somesort deal Lobotomite and get some of your mutants to remove these firetrucks, we can then move back into the town and restart the gold mines."

Kruser, head of the Legion Frumentarii

*Kruser enters the area, proudly displaying the Bull on his chest. He is in full Legion armor today.

He grins to the room.

"Good evening everyone, I hope that you should know Arizona is in a stable and healthy state since we last met at Nellis, thanks to the gun runners helping supply our troops and the Nightkin keeping order of course".

Raynor walks into the huge tower, which he had been itching to go into since the courier announced the new convention. He also has a few other deals to make with the Khans and others, and since the Gun Runner′s business in Primm (Gingy you forgo to announce that) have gone fine, their new office over in the Strip, which Raynor himself has made a successful office in which he runs the show. No visitors are allowed, and trespassers are shot on sight, due to the Gun Runners being afraid of their pre war secrets to be stolen. Right now, he has been striking rich with all the deals he has been making. He wears a rich looking gambler outfit, along with a expensive hat and authority glasses, now upgraded his 9mm to 44. Magnum, now accompanied by 4 guards with MKII combat armor armed with both heavy weapons and assault rifles.
Imam the 2nd-The Khans

"Excellent, in exchange we would like you to impart your knowledge of building solar panels as well as providing us with some heavier ordinance than the dynamite we previously arranged for."

OOC: So just to make it clear here is who the Khan's have made trade agreements with

The Boomers
Followers and Kings
Primm
The Chairmen
Possibly Goodsprings
He looks at the barbarian looking Khan and smiles.
''Imam, how are the Khans? My associates and me are willing to open up new trades to your people in Wyoming, as you can see, we are the most successful arms merchant in the area and also back west, and we have heard your people are doing good.''
*Mr. Kent steps back into the room, not really sure what is going on

"Sorry to interrupt everyone, but i just came back from speaking to the folks back in WestSide on radio and they have told me that first of all we would like to make a deal with the Followers of the Apocalypse, as we have the resources to expand the Co-Op, but not the knowledge, we would be happen to give some food once things get up and running if the followers help us. Also we would like to work out a trade deal to anyone who is interested, since we need guns and armor to arm our expanding milita.
Looking at Kent, he took up a briefcase.
''Mr.Kent, we noticed you were in need of guns to. Imam and Kent, look at our wares and tell us if they are good enough for you, im sure you would be satisfied by a long term deal with us.''
He then smiled satisfied and sat there with his glasses

Senior Paladin Garret Hartley - Brotherhood of Steel

A loud clanking can be heard from the stairs as the Brotherhood representative fully decked out in full T-51B Power Armor lumbers towards the meeting room. Entering the V.I.P lounge, the armored figure looks around the room to see which dignitaries have already arrived. After giving everyone a once over the senior paladin makes his way around the table until he locates his seat.

Plopping down in his assigned seat he crosses his arms and turns to the Courier. "Why has our presence been requested to attend this convention?", the power armored voice demands irritatedly.

Alice Swift - FoA Rep

Alice steps out of the elevator and takes in the assembled members of the various factions. Her eyes widened when she saw Kruser, for she thought the Legion had completely withdrawn into Arizona.

Then her eyes fell on Hartley. Good, good, the Brotherhood actually sent a representative this time, she thought.

"Gentlemen, it's a pleasure to see you all again," she said and remained standing. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything, but I would just like to give you all a quick updated on a few things. As you all know, we cleaned up Vault 34 and converted it into a hospital. I would like to thank everyone here who supported us in this endeavor, first and foremost the Courier, for making this possible. The Old Mormon Fort has been fully converted into our headquarter. So, we are still only a few steps away from the Strip," she added, then she consulted her notes. "I would also like to mention that the Freeside-Westside co-op is thriving. We actually added a few farming plots and are now producing fresh food in abundance, which raised the living quality of the people in our area. Kids can actually eat a fresh apple a day," she reported with a broad smile and a nod towards Mr. Kent.

Then she turned to Raynor. "Your weapons actually came in handy, during the Vault 34 clean up. Thanks again for the discount," she told him with a wink.

"Imam, good to see you here. Your supply of Stimpaks and Fixers are a great blessing to the Hospital and I'm glad we were able to strike a deal." Alice said.

Alice looked around and saw an empty chair next to Senior Paladin Hartley and took it. "Good to see you here, Hartley. I know you don't usually share knowledge with outsiders, but I think we have some data that might interest you. If we work together, we might be able to bring an abundance of renewable energy to the Mojave," she said cryptically, and then turned her attention back to the Courier and the meeting.

Raynor smiled gently to Alice.
''Well of course, our weapons never fail, especially now. Everyone, take notice of our happy customer cause she knows what she is talking about. Now Alice im sure your guards were happy with their toys too.''
He then took up a bottle of wine and started to drink it gently. It looked as if the Strip had changed the trigger happy, gun loving cowboy like person

The Courier-New Vegas

*The Courier finishes his scotch*

I am glad the Legion attended this time. Hopefully now we can install good diplomatic relations with them.

Perhaps we can give them access to the Fort and Cottonwood Cove once more and give them a small state near Cottonwood Cove. With that being said, perhaps you could be the "Survivalists" section of the United Mojave Army. However, if the Legion steps a toe out of line, I will withdraw my side of this bargain. Just keep in mind that inside the Mojave, slavery, crucifixism, and murder are not allowed and anyone participating in such activities will be apprehended by the state that it occurs in or the Securitrons of New Vegas. Slave trading will not go on inside our borders.

The Mojave now consists of several states, but I was wondering....

Could the Brotherhood of Steel join the United Mojave Army? We could use a section of our military with people who value and understand tech. Hidden Valley would also be recognized as a small Brotherhood state for the time being. Perhaps we could call it "Counter-Intelligence Section". *The Courier Laughs*

(By the way, HELIOS One was powered to give electricity to the full region).
